I was going to review this as well!

This was totally off my radar and if you hadn’t retweet the Times offer I hadn’t planned on buying it, I’m really glad now though!

I’m about half way through and really enjoying it.

Agree the “add more baddies” is a little frustrating, especially since the camera angle is fixed so you don’t always know where the enemy is attacking from but I’m not complaining for free!

I can’t believe I wasted 600 Wii Pts on this game b/c I get the same problem. I was able to make 2 bubbles but thats it. I sent an email to Nintendo and their response was…”While Nintendo does not have gameplay assistance dedicated to that game, there is an abundance of help from your fellow players online. Although it isn’t easy, I assure you that it is possible to complete Level 72. To see if there is online help available for your game, use your favorite Internet search engine. Entering the game’s title in the search field should be enough to point you in the right direction; additionally, you can narrow your search by including the following words: walkthrough, FAQ, codes, tips. I wish you the best of luck in your search and in playing Bubble Bobble Plus!”

So much for Nintendo’s help!!!

Glad to see you're already playing this one – knew it'd be right up your street!

I'm at the same point you mention here, having just beaten the Onii King. The first hour of the game was a bit slow, and I nearly dismissed it as too cutesy/kiddie, but it's been superb since then.

It's also a bargain half price at Amazon at the moment.

It's tough, but it can be done. Move all the way against a wall, jump and just tap away from the wall, you will have enough space. Success on this level for bubble bobble plus can be seen on youtube.

Well, I got over 100 hours gameplay out of the main game. 35 hours for the main *story* is about right, but for TLAD I remember reading previews on several sites that said it added 35 hours of gameplay.

Of course, the new story is only 8 or 9, but I was expecting side missions and stuff to knock it up to 35. Yes, there are races and gang warfare things to increase the length, but surely not to 35 hours. Unless the 50 hidden seagulls you have to kill are stupidly difficult to find.

Where the hell did you read “35 hours” the original game was only just about that long!

I’ve only ever seen claims of 9-10 hours, considering you’ve done it in 8 hours and still have bits left to do, that’s probably not unreasonable. Especially as you’re a more seasoned gamer and will naturally progress faster than many.
