Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Craaaazy Redd was about today, but his wares were rubbish, as I already had them all. So I punched him in the face. Hurrah! My animals were a bit dull today too, as none of them wanted anything. Well, Sally asked me to deliver a letter, but that took all of five seconds so doesn’t really count. Did a bit of weeding too, but that was pretty much it for today’s jaunt to Cheese.

ポケモントローゼ (DS): COMPLETED!

Amazing! Three games in three days, after a lapse of a few weeks! I’m still somewhat behind on last year’s game-a-week complete-a-thon (although I didn’t expect to repeat it this year anyway), but at least I’ve caught up a little. There was one more boss, and then after a couple more levels the final end of game boss. He was actually pretty difficult too, mainly due to the speed that the “well” fills up, but also due to his annoying …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

A new animal moved in today, presumably to replace Robin who moved out. She’s another squirrel, called Sally. ACE. None of my existing animals wanted me to do anything for them this evening – Rodeo didn’t beg for clothes, Bluebear didn’t ask for Modern Furniture, and no-one else was after anything either. Well, except Kabuki, who wanted me to go and catch a sweetfish. I couldn’t be bothered with fishing today, so didn’t. If the cat wants a fish, the …

ポケモントローゼ (DS)

I meant to play Magnetica, but I picked this up by mistake. Oh well – decided to work through it a bit more anyway! I’ve completed much of the story mode, being on level 17 or so now. There’s only one “boss space” remaining, and not a lot of actuall land left for more levels to open up in, so I’m fairly confident I’m nearing the end.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Using Magic Time Travelling Powers, I warped back to last night to catch K.K. Slider (who played me K.K. Chorale), and then wandered round town watching the fireworks. Tortimer gave me some sparklers and roman candles, which were great, only I couldn’t use them to set fire to stuff. Which is a shame, as I wanted to torch Nookingtons.

Coloris (GBA)

And this gets a bit bloody hard too! I’ve been working through Basic, and am now up to level 12 or 13, but since level 10 the colours don’t “run” from, say, blue to red – they cycle round, red-blue-yellow-red. This means that certain colours can’t be changed by other colours. For instance, if you’re on an orange one, and you make it “more blue”, you get a black, unchangeable, block instead. Erk! It isn’t “basic” any more!

Soundvoyager (GBA)

I seem to be working my way up the right-hand-side of the “level select” screen. I don’t know if this a because I’m doing well, or doing poorly, but I suspect the latter as it’s a bit bloody hard. I can’t do the second Sound Slalom level (which is the fourth level so far), and the level previous was really quite difficult. The best way to play is with headphones, and with your eyes closed. You get into some sort …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

It has been a couple of weeks since I last played this, and the main thing that shows is that I kept trying to press buttons other than Y to jump, as I’ve been playing Tomb Raider: Legend and other 360 games. Warped to the Town Where Everyone Is Invisible, and finished off that quest (which was completed almost accidentally), and then decided, after saving, to slaughter everyone I could find. Hurrah!

Top Spin 2 (360)

A friend came round this evening and we played two player mode. Once again, it looked like the 3:1, 1:3, 3:1 thing, but it turned out to be slightly different. I lost, though. I had, however, in my defence, chosen a weak female player, whereas he chose Federer. Clearly that is the only way he could have beaten me.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Turnip Panic came to an end today, as Nook was buying for 110 bells each. OK, so I didn’t make much of a profit, but importantly, I didn’t make a loss either. I’m not sure I can be bothered with turnips every week any more. I have 20 million bells or more in my account, and I’m spending only 2,000 or so a day on items I don’t have in my catalogue – an amount easily made by selling a …

Dead Rising (Demo) (360)

This took AAAAAGES to download, but it finally did and so I got to have a play. I’m a bit torn on it. On one hand, it’s great fun, with lots of weapons to mow down the zombies, but on the other hand, many of the weapons act exactly the same as each other and it all gets a bit samey quickly. Whether the full game will suffer from this, I don’t know. I hope not!

Orbital (GBA): COMPLETED!

I only had three more levels left to do, it seemed. Level 28 was a real pain, 29 was quite hard, and 30 (the last one) was actually pretty simple, if a little brain bending due to the gravity effects of so many planets in orbit around each other. So then there was the credits, and now it seems I’ve unlocked some Extra Mode levels. Hurrah! I didn’t actually want it so end so soon!

Top Spin 2 (360)

More working through the career mode. I managed to win a round or two in a few tournaments, so I gained a bit of money and so trained a little. I’m finding it very odd that every single match I play is ending up as 3:1, 1:3, 3:1. Sometimes I win, sometimes the other player. Very strange, non?

Top Spin 2 (360)

Worked my way through the career mode some more today, and I’m now into the second season. I haven’t even got close to winning a tournament yet, which is crap, and I’ve now run out of money with which to buy training sessions. Bah.
