I have the same problem, the public transport alternative takes 50 minutes by bus, it’s a 10 minute walk to the nearest bus stop and a change is needed. Compare this to 20 mins by car and there is no contest! Then, because I finish work after 11pm, there is no public transport option to take me back home again. Yay for public transport!

Soon they are bringing in maximum 2 hour parking limits in all on-street parking where I work and there is no off street parking. They are going to start charging for it as well and privatise the enforcement. Parking permits will only be issued to business vehicles so I will be totally stuffed. I can’t move my car every 2 hours when I’m at work and it’s a huge area being covered by the new restrictions. I’ll probably have to allow an extra 20 mins to walk to work once I’ve parked outside the zone.
