Let’s Play! Jumping Jack

I remembered another game from the Magic C60! Yes, Jumping Jack, probably the fastest loading game on that tape, was another I used to play quite a lot. And I was terrible at it.

I’m still terrible at it now, actually. I can pretty much manage getting to the top of the first couple of levels, but once obstacles are introduced alongside the already tricky moving holes, I’m usually done for.

Jumping Jack

The aim, in case it isn’t clear, is to jump up through the holes (carefully – hitting the sides will cause you to fall down) without falling back down them. The holes move from row to row, some upwards and some downwards, so pay attention! Oh, and avoid everything.

Controls: (Oh, get this!) Left and Right are CTRL and Space, and jump is Shift. It makes more sense on a rubber-key Speccy. Honest.

The emulator used is Qaop/JS – a rather spiffy HTML5 Spectrum emulator.
