Play Want Bin Expense: 2016-06-27

More of the same as last week, mainly. And some Shantae.

Play

Battlefield 4 (PS4)
I’m still not completely sure if I’m enjoying it a lot. I am a bit, sure, but it’s a bit dull. Almost every enemy encounter is the same (although that could be just because I like to snipe), and the plot has gone a bit mad (I now have to blow up a dam to flood the enemy out? Right), and everyone I expect to die has died so far. Still playing it though, so it must have something going for it.

KirbyKirby: Planet Robobot (3DS)
This was fantastic. Real proper return to form for Kirby. Not too hard, lots of variety, the new mechanics add to rather than mess with the formula, and it’s so happy and jolly and fun I almost do a squee every level. Definitely one of the best 3DS games. Oh, and I completed it of course. It was hard not to, it was so good.

Table Top Racing: World Tour (PS4)
I really should stop playing this. It’s not actually very good and I’m not enjoying it much. It’s just too easy to boot it up for half an hour and play a few races. I’m over half way through now so might as well finish it up.

ShantaeShantae and the Pirate’s Curse (3DS)
I thought the GBC Shantae game when I played it not that long ago was great, so it’s not surprising that this game, which fixes the few issues I had with the original (which was too hard, had fiddly morph powers, some enemies took waaaay too many hits) and looks gorgeous. It might be rather too filled with boobladies (which are… eye popping in 3D) but that doesn’t stop it from being an impressive platformer that’s almost a Metroidvania.

Want

Go on. Guess. Did you guess No Man’s Sky and Lego Marvel Avengers? Both for the PS4? If so, well done!

Also, Zelda for the NX. I think I’ll skip the Wii U version unless somehow that one ends up being better.

Bin

The EU referendum, but I’ve covered that already. And yes, I’m still ill.

Expense

Unravel (PS4) £5.19
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (Wii U) £32.99
