Sounds right up my street, actually. A bit like a cross between Ark (or Minecraft, if you want to be boring with your comparisons) and Elite, from what I can make out. And the general atmosphere reminds me of something else I can’t quite put my finger on.

But no Linux version. And I can’t afford a current-gen console right now. So, er… bah.
