What You Missed: October 2016

What You Missed: October 2016

I went to “Halloween Fireworks” the other day. Make up your mind – it’s one or the other.

This October marked the start of my new AlphaBest series, and the system I’m looking at this time is Nintendo’s GameCube. Just like with the Mega Drive series I completed last month, I’m wondering why I’ve taken such a stupid task on. I mean, I could have at least made it easier for myself by choosing a system with maybe 15 games in total.

Other topics in the last 31 days have included reviews of the new film production of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, a ZX Spectrum music CD, and PS4 explorygame No Man’s Sky. I’ve explained why the hell I don’t want to buy a Nintendo Switch (and why I’ve pre-ordered one), and taken a look at how my new Nintendo Console Wishlist is, or isn’t, being fulfilled.

I wrote my first game for the PICO-8 virtual console, ranked Gaming’s Finest Chins, and jam, wasabi peanuts, cheese and spam all made food-related appearances.

Those, Let’s Plays, and more utter nonsense (and some boobs). Something for everyone!
