The thing with New Super Mario Bros U is, that sadly, it doesn’t have an infinite number of levels and doesn’t carry on until the end of all time. That is pretty much its only failing, but nonetheless, it means I ran out of game.
Which is why I bought NSMB2. As it’s sort of more of the same.
In actuality, it’s not as good as NSMBU. It’s a lot easier. There’s no proper world map. There’s no Acorn power up. You can’t do that little spin in the air to gain a bit more distance. Having said that, it’s still a great game. It’s very similar, albeit with more of a need to collect all the coins ever, and I’m really enjoying it.
I did complete it a bit sooner than expected, though. And lost less than 10 lives in total.
Of course, I only completed the game. I didn’t find many secret levels (there are two whole secret worlds I’ve not found yet too), and I’ve still a load of Star Coins to collect yet. I did, however, open up Star Road, and complete all the levels there. They too were much, much easier than the NSMBU Superstar Road, however.
Still, it’s great.
