Thomas Was Alone: Benjamin’s Flight (Vita): COMPLETED!

It has to be said that there were two things harder than the actual game itself, but related to the game itself. Number one: actually getting the damn game to load. I had to download the Benji DLC again, restart the Vita, and sacrifice several virgin goats just to get as far as the menu screen. Number two: actually figuring out how to play the DLC. Turns out you have to choose to replay a scenario and then pick Episode …

Scribblenauts Unmasked: A DC Comics Adventure (Wii U): COMPLETED!

The game’s title is a bit verbose, isn’t it? I’ll be referring to it as Scribblenauts Batman instead, because that’s what it is. Sure, the rest of the Justice League are in it, but then Lego Batman 2 and 3 have them as well. Batman’s the headline act. In fact, virtually every DC character you could ever imagine, including every variant (Earth Two, Red Son, Bizzaro, New 52, etc.) are also in it. And costumes to dress up other characters …

Mega Man 6 (Wii U): COMPLETED!

After the slight drop in quality that Mega Man 5 brought to the series, I was glad to see that things improved for the final NES Mega Man outing. As I’ve mentioned before, each game so far has added some new move, add-on or feature to the series. Mega Man 6 sort of brings two, as Rush is removed as a rocket/trampoline and becomes a sort of exoskeleton for Mega Man, giving him two new powers – a jetpack (which …

Lego City Undercover (Wii U)

I think I’m getting close to the end of the story now. Sure, I’m still “only” 23-ish hours in and 34-ish percent done, but the story missions are coming to a climax. Not least that I think there are 15 of them and I’ve done 13 or 14. The game is still amazing fun, and still keeps giving new stuff even this late in the plot. Only a couple of game hours ago I got the final “character” ability (the …

Duke Nukem 3D (360)

And another couple of levels done. Still enjoying it, still loving the level designs, still getting completely flummoxed every time there’s a place I could use a jetpack as I keep forgetting such an item exists… Must be near the end of the episode now though, right?

Sonic Rush

Erm. Yes. I did say I wasn’t going to play this much, but for some reason it fell in my hands again and it was rude not to press it and touch it and stuff, wasn’t it? Completed the second Zone with Sonic, and played through the third (but died). Also played through Blaze’s first Zone. But died there too. I don’t like the way she controls – too floaty and she seems to have a jetpack, and she’s sloooooooooooow …

Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas

Returned to this for a bit. Not to do any remaining missions, though – just to try and jump the canyon at Arco del Oueste, and fly some planes and play with the jetpack and stuff. The canyon wasn’t jumped, though. The go-kart really wasn’t up to it, and the motorbike I found for my second attempt just didn’t have the speed needed. Tch.

GTA: San Andreas

Booyah, Polaski. I popped a cap in yo ass. Well, technically it was a rocket, but you get the picture. Sadly, I couldn’t take Tenpenny down at the same time, but he can wait. Some more missions for The Truth opened up for me. First, I had to get inside Area 69 and steal a jetpack, and then I had to use it to follow a train and steal some “green goo” from a crate. Bizarre. I now have unlimited …

Leisure Suit Larry: Magna Cum Laude

I found an easy way to make money today – taking photos. Get at least two “lights” on the camera, and take a picture. Then, take your snaps to the geeky guy in the library and he’ll pay you for them, $1-per-light, for a fee of $1-per-photo. The cheerleaders all in one shot gets you $4 this way, so you can rack up the money fairly easily. Won over Zanna, by beating her at strip-trampolining (as you do), and they …
