Um, far too much.

The Onkyo was almost ¬£400, the speakers were ¬£170. I had to get a load of cables too – some ¬£90-worth of them. I did get a ¬£50 discount on the lot though, so that wasn’t bad.

Thing is, that’s less than I paid for my HDTV, but, in my opinion, the change from TV speakers to quality 5.1 surround is far greater than 22″ CRT to 32″ HDTV.
