The best thing I’ve found to do is to push him all around the shop and trap him in a corner. And then leave the DS on while you go and sleep or something. In fact, if you go into his shop at 10:59, and then leave the DS on, then you can make him stay awake all night.
And then hassle him all day the next day, when he just wants to go to sleep.
