Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Redd had a couple of things I didn’t have already today – a hospital bed and a judge’s bell. So I bought them. I still don’t have access to any of the items that my animals are asking for, so I hope they change their minds soon… Purrl is still ill. I’ve been giving her medicine each day, so she should be OK soon.

Secret of Mana (SNES)

After a bit of wandering round, I realised I probably hadn’t completed the dwarf mines bit of the game, so I went back in. Found a Sprite, who conned me out of 100 Gold. However, I got it back after I defeated a boss and it joined my “party”. It’s crap though, and it died several times before I got to the Haunted Woods. Once in the woods, I found the girl from before (who had left me) and she …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Stupidly forgot to play this again yesterday, so I time-travelled back to last night with the intention of visiting K.K. Slider. Only I got caught up in the flea market goings-on, and completely forgot that too. Gah. Purrl was trying to move out, but I tried to persude her to stay. It worked too, as she was still there when I wound forward to today. She did, however, get ill overnight. All my animals are still after stuff that I …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Still working my way through the Dark Brotherhood quests today. I had to go and kill and old man (who I never even got a chance to see), and then to infiltrate the Imperial City prison to kill a prisoner. This quest was interesting, as I had to go back into the prison the same way that I came out of it at the start of the game, some 100+ hours game time ago. Ace. Then I had to pretend …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

After the last of the Mages Guild quest, I was awarded a magic chest which duplicates ingredients. I didn’t bother trying it, though, instead returning to my house in Bravil to dump a load of stuff, and then being told my Dragon Armour was ready to pick up from the Imperial City armoury. So, I went off there to get it. Most of the armour is an improvement over my current stuff, so swapped a few items over. I still …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Had another long bash today, notching me up to just over 100 hours play! I don’t think I’ve ever had a game rack up that many (recorded) hours before. Excellent. So I went and found Mannimarco, and killed him and all his followers. I got some great stuff on the way, including some boots that give me a 50% protection from fire, frost and shock (which, combined with my Weatherward Circlet gives me 60% for each). Added to my 85% …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Played for quite some time today. Spent a while wandering round, and went to Bruma and bought some new spells. Also bought some new armour, and then enchanted it. I have 85% shield at all times now, as well as a 20HP health bonus! Aces. That was enough time to get Traven talking again, and he asked me to go to Bruma to check up on the guild there as he’d not heard from them in a few days. I …

Far Cry Insticts Predator (Demo) (360)

This appeared on the Marketplace this week, so I downloaded it this morning and had a play. It’s multiplayer only, and I had a game of 8 vs 8 capture the flag. Well, specimin. Or something. It was pretty good fun, but the controls seem somewhat, well, jerky, and the map was a bit small. Some lag meant the sniper rifle was almost pointless (which was a shame, as there were some great sniper spots). I also couldn’t figure out …

Time Pilot (360)

Played this for quite a bit this evening. Managed to get another achievement, but still need to get to 2001 without losing a life, and to destroy 10 bombs in 1910. Both of which seem somewhat hard… I also played against Trousers online. He beat me. Three times. However, I still have the highest score on my friends list (and I’m 44th in the world at the moment), which is far more important. Obviously.

Texas Hold’em (360)

Played, and won, a whole actual tournament today. Hurrah! It seems the best thing to do is just chip away slowly, waiting patiently until you get a good hand and then start betting slow (or everyone folds) and then hook a fish and reel him in. Or something.

Time Pilot (360)

Time Pilot was on the Xbox Live Arcade downloads thingy today. I have played it a bit before (and actually have a copy of it on Konami Arcade Advanced for the GBA), but I don’t remember it being very good, nor me being very good at it. So I bought it anyway (400 points, about £3.40-ish), and it’s great. I think it’s the online leaderboards that make it – just like Pac-Man and Frogger and all the other arcade “classics”. …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Bluebear and Purrl were having a conversation today. It went much along these lines: Purrl: “You’re not dancing hard enough!”Bluebear: “What? This a dance-off? I’ll win!”Purrl: “Woot! WOOT WOOT!”Bluebear: “Woot! WOOT WOOT!”Purrl: “This is so much fun! It’s like THE BEST THING EVER!!” Scared, I am.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Hopped back into this for a short while, to kill some more vampire hunters in Skingrad. That was an easy enough task, but the guards caught me and I had to pay a fine for murdering them. Bah. So the Count was pleased with my killing spree, and gave me some information for Trevan back at the Mages Guild. I passed on what he told me, and Traven said he’d have to consult with the Council over what course of …
