K.K. Slider night tonight, so I popped over to the Cafe for a listen. I regained my braneliness today, by managing to get another Brain Age of 20. I expect the 22 yesterday was just a “blip”. That makes 13 20s overall, and I’ve played every day for about 40 days now. Once I’ve hit two full months (filling the graphs, basically), and finished all the sudoku (of which I’m only 21% through), I will declare the game “complete”.
With all the worlds technically “complete”, I’m left with two tasks: get all the big coins (there are three hidden on each level), and spend them all (on opening gates, mainly). Went through World 1 and World 2, and now have all of the coins there. I also have all bar those in the Tower and Castle in World 3 as well. Some of them have been pretty difficult to get too – this is obviously where the real challenge …
Bah. Turnips were 47 bells today, and no-one is online with a decent price. Spanky was about, with 165 each, but I was hoping for 200+. Started off by asking the Thieves’ Guild bloke for another job, but him saying I needed to nick more stuff and sell it to the guy in Bruma. So I warped there, stole more alembics and retorts and stuff from the Bruma Mage’s Guild and sold them on. Another day, another test of BRANES. Although the training went well, even improving some of my scores further still, sadly my Age for the day was a little disappointing. After my five days of 20s, today I got 22. Bah. I’d have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t have been for the DS misdetecting two 8s as 6s. Hate.
Back in the Arena this evening. And, well, it’s a bit easy isn’t it? I worked my way up to Gladiator rank (that’s four more achievements and 40 more Gamerpoints) without any difficulty, but then stumbled on the round where you fight three prisoners at once. My main tactic of fireballing from a distance, and block-then-swipe up close falls down when being attacked from three sides at once. Tch. Took a break from the fighting then, to buy some more …
More brain “fun” today. Did about half of the tests, and did pretty well on them all. No “8 issues” today either, which was good. But you don’t care about that, do you? All you want to know is How Old Is My Brain(TM) isn’t it? 20! Hurrah!
Quite a brief play this evening. Sold enough fruit to clean out Nook again (he must be loaded now), and to order yet another moon. I have 6,500 or so points left before becoming a Platinum Member in the loyalty system. Turnips were 94 bells today. Multiplayer only this evening, playing both random minigames and two player Mario vs Luigi mode. Both modes are actually really good fun to play, with Mario vs Luigi mode reminding me of the original Mario Bros (sans Super), and the minigames being a little like Mario Party. I won, of course.
As well as my daily turnip watering, turnip not-selling (98 bells today), daily animal chatting and daily buying everything at Nook’s, I’ve also added a new daily “chore” to the list – ordering moons from Nook. I got two yesterday, and boughttwo more today. Shame they don’t sell them on sticks. That’d be ace.
No problems on the daily training tests today, and in fact, I managed to get a new high score on one of them. I don’t bother doing all the tests each day now, I just do at least half of them, and vary which ones from day to day. My Brain Age was, once again, 20. That’s 4 days of 20 in a row!
It seemed I had only 7 left to do, not 9. Clearly, I can’t count. So I made an effort to finish them all off this evening, which wasn’t that difficult as all bar the last one were really easy. The last one was a golden butterfly. Or a moth. Or something like that anyway. Nice. GAME OVER!
