Not much to say about my scores again today, except for the fact that they were all pretty good, and overall I managed another Brain Age of 20, getting just a whisker from the bottom of each of the three scoreboards. No “8 is not 6 or 2” issues today, either.

It was chucking it down, so I thought (once I’d done my “chores”), that I’d go fishing for the first time in about two months, mainly in the hope I’d get a coelacanth. Played another “episode” with my wife this evening, and chose the long game. This made each of the rounds longer than in the short game (as you’d expect), but also added some more rounds. I won. ACES.

I started the game at Weatherleah, and decided to head to Skingrad to progess the Nirnroot quest, as I had enough of the herb to do so, and it was just a quick cross-country job south from where I was. It didn’t take more than a few minutes, but I found both a wayshrine and an Oblivion Gate along the way. Erk. Aha! Much better today, and no silly 8 misrecognisation problems either. I’m sure the game just hates me sometimes. Anyway. 20 seconds for Calculations x20, a new entry on the Top 3 for Number Cruncher, and a reasonable time for Maze Thingie gave me a Brain Age of 20. Hurrah!

TWENTY SIX? WHAT? Rubbish. I can see why I got such a bad score (well, bad in comparison to the last two weeks or so, anyway), but it wasn’t my fault. I did extremely well in Calculations x20 (17 seconds!) and the maze thing (second place), but then Number Cruncher simply refused to accept my number 8 for a good minute or so. I really should have just turned the DS off and started again, but no. STUPID.

Lucky was ill today, and was hallucinating. He said something about eating yummy fluffy clouds, which frightened me a bit, so I left him to die. Also bought more moons, and everything in Nook’s. Spent a while producing scamps and skeletons to raise up my Conjuration stats a bit, and then decided to go to Cheydinhal, since I’d never been there before and it’s the location of the next bit of the Thieves Guild questline. To get there, I warped to Imperial City, and the set off East on foot. Had a few bandits to contend with on the road, but they were easily killed with the help of a scamp! Explored Cheydinhal for …

Some absolutely stunning scores today (if I do say so myself), particularly on Syllable Count, where I beat the previous high score by a couple of seconds, and on Calculations x100 where I shaved 5 seconds off the top time. Despite the lateness of the hour, and the lack of concentration I was suffering when doing the daily training (the less said about some of the scores the better), I still managed to not only get a Brain Age of 20, but I also got in the top three for one of my trials and tied (but not recorded) first and third in the other two.
