Big Brain Academy (DS)

Much of my play today involved bumping up my Gold Medal count. And then, I found that there was actually a Platinum medal too, since I won one. Gah! So even if I’ve ACEBESTed them all and got gold, that’s not the best there is? I’m struggling on the Memory games. I’m just not capable of remembering things for more than five milliseconds. Also did the Test again, and got another 1200-odd score, and I now have a B- grade. …

Brain Age (DS)

Guess what? 20! That’s, uh, loads of days in a row now. Am I a Grand Master at this yet? I’ve pretty much flatlined all the tests too, with only slight zigzagging these days. Apart from Reading Aloud, of course, where I’m all over the bloody place due to the stupid bloody software not being able to keep up.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Luckily, turnips were being bought for 138 bells today. OK, so it isn’t a huge improvement on what I paid for them, but I did still make a reasonable profit by selling what I had left. Spent a while finding furniture for my animals, and meant to buy Bunnie some medicine but forgot. I hope she doesn’t die. Camofrog, on the other hand, can die if he likes. He upped and left me today. After saying I was his bestest …

Brain Age (DS)

Just ‘cos I now have Big Brain Academy, it doesn’t mean I’ve stopped playing this. In fact, I got another 20 on it today. That’s, er, about 9 in a row. Or more. I’ve lost count. Also had to draw more pictures today – a pinwheel (no idea what that is), an electric fan, and a helicopter.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Turnip selling mad-dash tastic! Skipai in Holt (or Otterdom, as the Nintendo WFC insisted on calling it) had his gates open this evening, and his Nook’s was buying for 480 bells. Sadly, he was a bit busy with other visitors, so after queuing to get in, I then failed to get in at all for my second trip. Bah. Luckily, I made enough from one trip to offset any losses from not selling the rest (although I still might do …

Big Brain Academy (DS)

Yet another new DS game, look! This one is similar to Brain Age, in that it’s more of a brain-expanding puzzle game than a real actual videogame. It differs in that you don’t really need to play each day, there’s more variety in the type of games to play, and each game has three different difficulty levels to play at. Also, it doesn’t track your progress (although you do get a running total of your scores, of sorts, and a …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

With the moon buying and selling, and the clearing out of Nook’s shop, and even the red turnip watering tasks all unnecessary these days, I don’t have much that needs doing any more. I mean, I can still talk to animals and check turnip prices (87 bells today, although 171 in my wife’s town – I resisted, however) and stuff, and I did pick up some furniture I hadn’t seen before from Nook, and gave Margie and Robin some of …

Brain Age (DS)

Yet another 20! I am clearly teh win at Brain Age. I didn’t, however, get on the top-3 charts for any of the training games though, which is the first time in a couple of weeks that has (or rather, hasn’t) happened. But I’m still BEST!

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Friga moved out! Rubbish! She’d given no warning at all (usually animals pack their boxes up in their houses a day or two before they leave), just upped and left. The stupid cow. Or rather, penguin. I’d been so nice to her and got no photo from her or anything. Gah. Visited all my other animals, and even though I had some white furniture for Margie and a Camel Shirt for Frobert, neither of them asked for anything. Stupid animals. …

Brain Age (DS)

Yet again, I manage to achieve the magical Brain Age of 20. That’s eight days in a row (I think – unless my counting is out, but with an Age of 20, that’s unlikely!), and over a month of less-than-my-real-age scores. Excellent. I got a couple more top-3 scores for things today as well, although I notice my wife then beat at least one of them. Bah.
