Things I’ve been playing recently

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Dual Destinies (3DS) I completed it, sure. But then Capcom went and released a DLC case for it this week. So I had no choice but to buy it and play it. I’m not far in yet, as I’m still on the first day of investigation, but it’s awesome. And it has my new favourite character – Marlon Rimes. Who is a sort of pirate marine zookeeper rapper. Oh yes. Animal Crossing: New Leaf (3DS) I …

Wii Sports/Wii Play (Wii)

So the inlaws were up today, and bizarrely they wanted to have a look at my Wii. They’ve not really taken an interest in games before (aside from Buzz! a couple of years ago), so it was a bit out of the blue. I showed them Wii Sports first, and played bowling and tennis, and then we played Wii Play, on the shooting, pool and (most video-gamey) the cow-riding games. And now they’re going to buy one themselves!

MySims (Wii)

Or “MySims™” as the Wii’s play log lists it. Just played for about another hour or so, building stuff for people. Finished everything that DJ Candy and Sir Vincent wanted (a mixing deck and a sarcophagus respectively), and went round all my trees collecting fruit and flower essences. I then decided to demolish my house and rebuild it with the extra building blocks I now have, which are far more exciting than the ones I had built it with originally.

Wii Sports (Wii)

My sister-in-law (who doesn’t play games) and her boyfriend came up this evening, and for some of the time we played on Wii Sports. After a few goes on Bowling, Tennis and Baseball (Golf is too difficult and Boxing too strenuous) it seems that she has now decided she wants to get a Wii. Amazing scenes.

Wii Sports (Wii)

Just a few random plays on this. Took part in bowling, golf and tennis training modes, but didn’t really improve on my high scores. Tennis is a bit hard, isn’t it? I then moved on to doing Fitness Mode, and got an age of 58. Rubbish.

Assorted Wii Games (Wii)

A group of friends whiled away the evening running up to New Year by playing on the Wii. Mostly Wii Sports (and on that, mostly baseball and bowling), but also a bit of Rayman Raving Rabbids. It was all ace, and was the first time I’d played two player boxing and tennis. Both roxxored. And there’s my final entry for the year. How exciting!
