That’s a lot of games, isn’t it? With the purchase of Super Puzzle Fighter II Turbo HD for Xbox Live Arcade today, I’ve reached 1500 games in my collection.
Actually, I’ve got more than that. Lots more. Something in the region of 200 more, in fact, but they’re piles of Spectrum and C64 cassettes and I’m yet to begin the daunting task of cataloguing them all, so they don’t yet count.
Lets look at some fun facts:
- If the games took, on average, 8 hours to complete each (a pretty realistic estimate, I’d say), it would take over 16 months non-stop play to complete them all.
- If you stacked them all on top of each other, the pile would be more than 26m high – as tall as a brachiosaurus was long.
- If I’d bought every game at full retail price, I’d have spent around ¬¨¬£35,000 on them – the selling price of a two bedroom holiday chalet in Wales.
