Why did I never pick up Saints Row 2? I loved the first game, and although I also thought GTA IV was great, I missed the complete over-the-topness that Saints Row (and previous GTA games) provided.

No idea why you didn’t play it, but it’s superb. Better than the first one and that was excellent as you say. For me Saints Row took over from GTA after it started to take itself too seriously!
