You know when you spend two hours in a game then die and have to do those two hours again? That.

Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE (Wii U)
It’s this that I’m referencing, and it’s the final boss that I’m specifically talking about. After making my way to him, sitting through the long chat sequence and cut scene, and then the longest fight ever – followed by an even longer one – I was literally one pixel of damage away from completing the game. A single hit-and-session would have seen the end of game boss packed into a black bin liner and dumped in the sea, but oh no, he had to wipe out my team with two unblockable, unavoidable, all-team attacks. Urgh. So now I have to grind a bit, rearrange some skills (nullify Seal is a must, it seems), and then attempt it again. But you know what? I don’t mind as it’s such a great game. Hurrah!
Postal 2 (Mac)
No idea why I’ve been playing this a bit this week, but it is an excellent title for taking pictures of in-game toilets. And hacking arms/legs/heads off everyone. And setting fire to everything. And weeing on people. One of whom seemed to enjoy it and actually did a little dance as I soaked him from head to toe. It’s a silly game, and that’s just as well because when I tried to cash my cheque at the bank (one of the “missions” for the first day), the game refused to do it so I had to burn everything instead.
Retro City Rampage DX (3DS)
You may recall this was one of the games in that absurdly generous Nintendo Humble Bundle a while back. I’ve already played, and completed, it a few years ago on the Xbox 360, but I enjoyed it enough to play it through again on the 3DS, where it actually feels like a better fit. As before, it’s not perfect, but it’s funny and I’m having fun all over again, so it doesn’t matter.
Beware Planet Earth! (PC)
I don’t know why I stopped playing this before, but I’ve started again. It’s a pretty good tower defence game, with cows and aliens. Can’t go wrong there.
Poncho (PS4)
Just a little so far. Feels like Mutant Mudds crossed with Fez. S’alright.
