Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

A couple of days missed, but I used the Power Of Time Travel to return to last night and visit K.K. Slider (who played me K.K. Parade), and to visiti my animals and try to convince Rodeo not to move out. Fast forward to this morning, and I bought some clothes and a bit of furniture, then bought 300,000 bells worth of 90 bells-a-go turnips from Joan. Rodeo didn’t move out, and he asked me for some clothing, which I …

Galaga (360)

Bought this for 400 points on Xbox Live Arcade today, after briefly playing the demo and thinking the £3-ish was worth it. And it was. It’s just Galaga, plain and simple. With achievements and a leaderboard system, which suddenly make it $hlmun times more enjoyable. So I played through until I got to Level 30 (no, not all in one go – Level 25 in particular caused some problems!), unlocking all bar two of the achievements. I haven’t seen the …

Cloning Clyde (360): COMPLETED!

It looks like I’m back in the swing of completing games! Huzzah! I finished the two levels (Challenges 3 and 4, in fact), and that unlocked a (pretty easy) final level. Once that was complete, I saw the credits, got another achievement, and it was Game Over! I went back and redid one of the two levels where I didn’t have all the Clydes and rescued some, and also found all of the remaining Killer Kenn dolls. I now have …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Bah. So Nan did move out. No chance of any goat curry in the near future, then. Bluebear has moved in, although not from my wife’s town (where she moved out from the other day), she’s actually come from Skipai’s town, Otterdom. Whilst chatting to my animals today, I found that Kabuki is in fact a boy, and not a girl at all (like he clearly was). How bizarre.

Cloning Clyde (360)

For a moment, I thought I’d completed the game. But obviously, I hadn’t. I finished the last level and the last challenge (although I didn’t get all the dolls or Clydes in either), and then assumed it was all over. But no. It seems I have forgotten two challenge levels somewhere along the way. Tch, eh?

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

With no turnips to try and sell this week, I feel a little lost in Cheese. My animals can tell too, as Nan was packed ready to leave today, and Frobert suggested he might be off soon too. Go on. Leave me. See if I care. I gave you the best years of my life, and what do you give me in return? Nothing. Crazy Redd was about today too, and he sold me the Triforce! Hurrah! It was 20,000 …

Cloning Clyde (360)

Worked through this quite a bit more today. I’ve now done all of the first three doors and the unlocked challenges I’ve come across so far. I’ve unlocked loads of achievements (well, only 80-ish points worth, but that’s most of the actual things to unlocks), and have rescued all of the Clydes and collected all of the Killer Kenn dolls on every level so far. It’s a great game, but hasn’t really been much of a challenge yet.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Hmm. I forgot to go and buy turnips yesterday. That’ll make my play on Animal Crossing this week somewhat short and a bit pointless, I’d expect, since I won’t have Mad Turnip Panic all the time. Today I just visited animals, did a bit of weeding, and dug up TEN gyroids. It hasn’t even rained much in the last few days, so I’ve no idea where they’ve all come from…

Cloning Clyde (360)

After playing the demo briefly, I caved in and bought this game, which is an Xbox Live Arcade download. Played it for a bit, finishing all of the levels in training and in the first door, as well as some of the unlocked Challenge Levels.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360): COMPLETED!

NINETY-ONE HOURS of gaming on Oblivion, and I’ve finally completed it. The last few play sessions have been a concerted effort to stay on-track and “do” the main quest, and it culminated this afternoon with me gaining the title Champion of Cyrodiil. I’m Winner! I won’t spoil everything, but needless to say it was a pretty long slog. My first task today was to obtain part of Tiber Septim’s armour, stained with his blood. It was in a dungeon, and …

Uno (360)

Played a few rounds with two British guys and a bloke who kept speaking like a little girl. I hope he was just stoned or something. Anyway, I lost. Completely. Bah.

Battle for Middle Earth II (Demo) (360)

I played just the training mode, which was rather too hand-holdy that I’d hoped for. The camera angle irritated me too, with it being too much “from the side” and not enough “from above” to make it actually useful like in other RTS games. The screen scrolls far too quickly as well, meaning you constantly pan past where you want to get to. In addition, the map in the corner is nigh on useless, the control scheme is irritating and …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Turnip panic! Turnip panic! I had 1,250,000 bells worth (at 95 bells or so each) of turnips to sell, and didn’t get a decent price in the week at all. And today Nook was offering just 46 bells! Noooo! Luckily, my wife’s town had a price of 115 bells, which netted me a roughly 20% profit. Not the 4-500% I have been getting, but still – at least it isn’t a loss. It did take me some 45 minutes to …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Oblivion Gates a-plenty! I’ve now been round and closed all of the Oblivion Gates that the rulers of each town has asked me to do. I left the Imperial City until last, but after closing all of the others, I was told I’m completed that quest, so didn’t bother going there. After each gate was closed, I returned to my house in Bravil to dump my “spoils”, which included a load of interesting rings and staffs, as well as an …
