Hurrah! I managed to complete Scenario 6! It seems the trick is to sell off some of the “lesser” units once you’ve built the more expensive units that supercede them. That means you still get money coming in, but don’t have to keep forking out for MORE POWAR. I also found you can sort of “overclock” the power sources, and squeeze a bit more juice out of them. Yes, again. Firstly, some issues I have with the game: The 360 pad is RUBBISH for playing it. The lobby system is crap, although it seems to be mainly because games disappear before you get a chance to join them. They haven’t used the extra frames of animation for the boss characters (like Sagat and Bison) from later games, meaning they look crap in motion. Just a quick go on this while I waited for the other game I’m going to play today was downloading. I’m on Scenario 6 at the moment, and really can’t do it at all. I either run out of power, or run out of money. Make more power sources, and you increase operating costs and so your money goes down each turn. However, make more money-making units, and you run short on power. Hmmm.

My animals were in a bit of a wanting mood today. Two of them were after clothes, one wanted furniture, and another (Kabuki) was wanting to move out and needed convincing to stay. I tried, but not especially hard. Nook was buying turnips for 83 bells, so I didn’t sell them, but I did manage to catch a few insects I hadn’t previously seen about.
This was one of four games that came in the post today, and as soon as I turned it on, I saw my brother was online playing it. Bought this for 400 points on Xbox Live Arcade today, after briefly playing the demo and thinking the £3-ish was worth it. And it was. It’s just Galaga, plain and simple. With achievements and a leaderboard system, which suddenly make it $hlmun times more enjoyable. It looks like I’m back in the swing of completing games! Huzzah! I finished the two levels (Challenges 3 and 4, in fact), and that unlocked a (pretty easy) final level. Once that was complete, I saw the credits, got another achievement, and it was Game Over!
