TURNIP DAY! Spent a while making money by selling fruit and bashing rocks for bells, and also collected and sold some stuff in the recycling and the lost and found. That gave me enough money to buy 600 turnips from Joan for 98 bells each.
In the post today was a letter from S. Iwata (“Satoru Iwata”, president of Nintendo) wishing me happy new year! He’d also sent me a model of a coin from Super Mario Bros. How very kind. I did feel a bit guilty I hadn’t bought him anything though…
