Just ‘cos I now have Big Brain Academy, it doesn’t mean I’ve stopped playing this. In fact, I got another 20 on it today. That’s, er, about 9 in a row. Or more. I’ve lost count. Also had to draw more pictures today – a pinwheel (no idea what that is), an electric fan, and a helicopter.
Yet another 20! I am clearly teh win at Brain Age. I didn’t, however, get on the top-3 charts for any of the training games though, which is the first time in a couple of weeks that has (or rather, hasn’t) happened. But I’m still BEST!
Yet again, I manage to achieve the magical Brain Age of 20. That’s eight days in a row (I think – unless my counting is out, but with an Age of 20, that’s unlikely!), and over a month of less-than-my-real-age scores. Excellent. I got a couple more top-3 scores for things today as well, although I notice my wife then beat at least one of them. Bah.
It seems that the successor to Brain Age has shipped out to me today, which is good, as I’m reaching the two-month marker in this one. Not that I’m bored of it or anything yet, though. So today I managed another Age of 20. Nothing unexpected there! No problems with recognition either, so my DS was clearly having a Good Day. Maybe it was pleased with my MacBook arriving today, which, when closed, looks like a giant white DS Lite.
What?! Somehow I managed to score just 7.1 (rather than my usual 13-ish) for Syllable Count today. It was even on my fourth attempt, as I kept reading too quickly. How it dropped so low, I have no idea. Stupid thing. Luckily, I did much better on most of my other trials, getting a few more top-3s along the way. Did exceptionally well for the Brain Age too – I got 20 again, but managed 16 seconds for Calculations x20 …
Yet another successful day on Brain Age. Managed two more top-threes in the training, and another one and two near-misses in the Brain Age test itself. Overall Age for today? 20, of course!

As well as that, I hit the top-3 again for some of the tests, getting an ACE 16 second time for Calculations x20. Also did one of the sudoku puzzles, seeing as I haven’t tried any of them in what seems like ages.
Not much to say about my scores again today, except for the fact that they were all pretty good, and overall I managed another Brain Age of 20, getting just a whisker from the bottom of each of the three scoreboards. No “8 is not 6 or 2” issues today, either.
No issues today either, meaning my 26 the other day was just some kind of blip. Or Satan possessed my DS, or something. Yes, that’s the most likely explaination. So today’s Brain Age? A totally perfect 20, of course!
Aha! Much better today, and no silly 8 misrecognisation problems either. I’m sure the game just hates me sometimes. Anyway. 20 seconds for Calculations x20, a new entry on the Top 3 for Number Cruncher, and a reasonable time for Maze Thingie gave me a Brain Age of 20. Hurrah!
TWENTY SIX? WHAT? Rubbish. I can see why I got such a bad score (well, bad in comparison to the last two weeks or so, anyway), but it wasn’t my fault. I did extremely well in Calculations x20 (17 seconds!) and the maze thing (second place), but then Number Cruncher simply refused to accept my number 8 for a good minute or so. I really should have just turned the DS off and started again, but no. STUPID.
Some absolutely stunning scores today (if I do say so myself), particularly on Syllable Count, where I beat the previous high score by a couple of seconds, and on Calculations x100 where I shaved 5 seconds off the top time. Sadly, I didn’t get a Brain Age of 20 over all, despite all that aceness. I got 21. Yeah, so it’s not bad, but I did get first place on the scoreboards on one test, and joint third on both …
Despite the lateness of the hour, and the lack of concentration I was suffering when doing the daily training (the less said about some of the scores the better), I still managed to not only get a Brain Age of 20, but I also got in the top three for one of my trials and tied (but not recorded) first and third in the other two. I am teh bestaz0r.
I regained my braneliness today, by managing to get another Brain Age of 20. I expect the 22 yesterday was just a “blip”. That makes 13 20s overall, and I’ve played every day for about 40 days now. Once I’ve hit two full months (filling the graphs, basically), and finished all the sudoku (of which I’m only 21% through), I will declare the game “complete”.
Another day, another test of BRANES. Although the training went well, even improving some of my scores further still, sadly my Age for the day was a little disappointing. After my five days of 20s, today I got 22. Bah. I’d have gotten away with it too, if it hadn’t have been for the DS misdetecting two 8s as 6s. Hate.
