In the 80s, whenever a new, popular, game came out twenty million other white rappe…uh games that were the same appeared. Also, back in the 80s, it was quite common for us kids to think the real game was actually a clone of the clone we’d known first. For example, I had a game called Road Toad, which Frogger blatantly copied. It didn’t, of course – Road Toad was the “fake”, but that didn’t matter. See also Orbiter/Defender, Maze Chase/Painter, …
As my fun with Assassin’s Creed 2 is beginning to end (as in, there’s not much in it left to do!) and I picked up a massive bargain last night on the Ubisoft Shop – the Brotherhood Codex Edition for a mere fifteen Earth Pounds Sterling – I’m suddently hyped for the next in the series, despite being a little behind everyone else… Note: this is a sponsored post.
Until the release of the technically fantastic, utterly huge, and gloriously lovely to look at Donkey Kong 64 for the Nintendo 64, I was a big fan of Rare’s stuff. Or at least, I thought I was. I mean, I did really, really, enjoy Banjo Kazooie. So much so that I almost completed it many times (the end boss proving too much), and even got the XBLA remake – finally 100%ing it. But looking back at their other titles, I’m not …
Sonic CD is coming to XBLA and PSN in just a few short weeks. Which is awesome, because it is awesome. And fiftyquagillion times more exciting than Sonic Generations coming out for the 360 and PS3 tomorrow. Why? Well, there’s this reason for starters:
So The Hut has this thing. Here. Which means Sonic Generations for the 3DS, plus Super Monkey Ball 3DS, for £34.95. Then take £3.50 off with a 10% Off voucher, and then 94p further for Quidco, and you get Sonic Generations 3DS for £15.26 and one silly, silly boy. Bah.
Why must you do this to me? Why, after all the terrible, terrible things I’ve seen and heard about Sonic Generations, why, after all the times you have burnt me in the past, WHY, oh WHY, must you then do this? I mean, that looks AWESOME. Oh I hate you, Sega. So very very much. Because now I need to buy this game, and you KNOW I will, and then you’ll make me pay for trusting you again by putting …
That Harry S Price was a card, wasn’t he? Ripping off loads of Spectrum games, altering their graphics, selling the game on as his own. Nawty. One of these game was The Steelyard Blues. Which I loved, until only a few years ago when I found out it was a shameless clone of “Cheekah’s Exploits” by Julian Wood – a game published as a type-in in Your Computer. Tch. Still, it’s a competent and difficult collect-em-up platformer, complete with level …

Hello! It’s been a little while since I last posted anything, mainly because I’ve been busy. Thought I’d just mention a few upcoming games that’s I’m really looking forward to, and some other game related stuff. It’s been a slim few months for releases I’ve been interested in. Partly because there haven’t been that many big games over the summer, and partly because due to the £18 Rule I don’t get much on release any more and by the time …
Note: this is a sponsored post Why don’t you have one yet? Unless you do, of course. In which case, well done! I got my 10 free NES games today too. They look great on the 3DS screen!
Dare RUIN it, I mean. I bought a MegaCD just to play this. And it was aces. So ruin it, and I’ll hate you forever. Even more than I do currently, I mean.
Note: This is a sponsored post This Wii game was completely off my radar as it seemed like it was one of those Japan-only RPGs that would never see light of day on these shores. But then I found it was coming out in Europe. And I suddenly got very interested. It even reached number 7 on the all formats chart this week, which is quite an achievement! NEED.
