Funny hotel signs
It’s an advert for Expedia, and it’s likely that these signs aren’t actually real signs. But I’m posting the video anyway.

I’ve written a review of Beautiful Katamari for the Xbox 360. You can read it on this page what is right here.
Yes, it’s an April Fool. And no, I didn’t fall for it. But that doesn’t stop it being very well done. How much of my licence fee was spent creating this, though?
With my new-found ability to download game demos to my PSP, I put a load on to play today. Space Invaders ExtremeExcellent! It’s exactly what the title suggests – Space Invaders, only Extreme! It’s a lot like the DS Space Invaders game from a couple of years ago, but with more power-ups and a combo system. And bonus levels. Apparently there’s a DS version of this PSP title too, which is supposedly even better. LocoRocoSeveral demos, in fact. I really …
Oh! Now I’ve got the “Don” drum too! That means I can summon rain, allowing me across the desert. Which I did! It was quite difficult, as you have to get Fever active to summon the rain, and the rain doesn’t last forever so you have to summon it often. And, if it’s not raining, your Patapons die as it’s too hot… After that I went and killed (an improved and more powerful) Dodonga again, this time with more Patapons, …
Actually, it’s backing up. Do you see? In fact, they’re all backing up, pretty much. Which means I can’t do very much. So I’m bored. If you’re bored too, why not have a look at some, all, or none of these April Fools from yesterday? http://www.wow-europe.com/wrath/features/bard/bardclass.xml http://www.google.com/virgle/index.html http://i28.tinypic.com/25s8zlv.jpg http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/moltencore/ http://www.thesun.co.uk/sol/homepage/news/article985644.ece http://www.theregister.co.uk/2008/04/01/teacher_head_explosion_april_fool/ http://www.game.co.uk/CoolStuff/Miscellaneous/~r334349/GAMEware-Double-Bass-Controller/ http://www.xbox.com/en-US/community/promotions/2008/spring/default.htm http://a.viary.com/blog/posts/dodo-web-based-time-machine http://buzz.blogger.com/2008/04/announcing-google-weblogs-beta.html http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/16095/Postals-Cat-Silencer-Enters-US-Armys-Arsenal/ http://www.google.com.au/intl/en/gday/index.html
Once more I played to try and improve my scores/times/ratings/whatever. I think I have to re-roll all the planets and stuff, having dumped them all in the black hole to complete the game first time around, but there’s no way of telling which planets I have left to do, so I keep doing the same ones again not realising. Not that I mind, of course. I just wish my brain would remember those I’d done again. Perhaps using the Power …
Oooh! Lots of excitement today! Not only did I figure out how to create more Patapons to use in my now-growing army, but I also found a tree-and-trumpet-man mini-game that gives me stuff, AND I can now Chaka-Chaka-Pata-Pon (defend)! Aces! The Chaka thing was especially useful on Dodonga – the first proper “boss” I encountered in the game. Most of my army were defeated during the fight, but thankfully I collected their caps that they leave behind, so they were …
I have the game on order, but no-one told me you could download demos for the PSP! So I did! It’s great, as I expected, and possibly the most cute thing ever created. The way your blob sings along with the music is brilliant, and even better is when you split him up into several blobs, they all sing – some singing different parts of the song! OMFG! But, uh, the game. It’s ACES! Although my sticky R button is …
As my many loyal fans will know, I’m not really a fan of the PSP. I’m not that gay for Sony in general, actually, for reasons I can’t really be bothered to go into here. Again. So it may come as a surprise to some that yesterday I bought a shiny new PSP. A white Slim and Lite PSP, to be specific. Technically, I didn’t actually pay for it as I traded my (now, annoyingly, fully working) Premium Xbox 360 …
This game was the reason I finally decided to get a PSP. With it, there were enough titles available to warrant buying one, and I couldn’t resist Patapon having seen and read about it. Anyway. I’ve played it a bit this evening, and I’m already hooked. It doesn’t touch the analogue nub (which is good), instead pretty much relying on just two (so far) face buttons. Square makes a “pata” noise, and circle is “pon”. When you press these in …
Too! Hard! Gnngh! I can’t even get past the first level unless I play it on Easy. Rubbish.
Today is my last day before I become amazingly famous. OK, so I’ve been on TV and radio before, but this afternoon I have a photo shoot for a major advertising campaign. No, really. I probably can’t say what the adverts will be for yet, and there’s a chance that my pictures won’t actually be used in the campaign, but if everything goes well I may, quite literally, look like the back end of a bus.
