I have more thoughts about the actual games over on my Gaming Diary, but here are some more comments about the handheld itself.
First of all, I love it. Everything about it. It’s such a lovely, lovely device. The screens are bright, the 3D adds loads to the games (and even just the menus and stuff), and the extras already installed are great. I’ve been playing through Super Street Fighter IV and logging which characters I’ve completed it as in the Notes application, for example.
I imported some Miis from my Wii at the weekend. Unfortunately, you can’t make an imported Mii your “main” 3DS Mii though, so I had to create myself again. That’s probably for the best though, as the 3DS Mii Creator has a better selection of beards.
Speaking of Miis, you can quickly get them onto your 3DS by taking pictures of Mii QR codes. You can also create your own QR codes on the device. If you’ve got a 3DS, try importing this:
Another fun toy is the Mii Plaza, specifically the StreetPass Quest. It’s a mini RPG, where you get single-use heroes to progress. You buy heroes with coins obtained by walking around (that is, you physically walk around, using the 3DS as a pedometer), or you can get heroes by passing by other people with 3DSes. I’ve not managed the latter yet, as despite living in the 3DS Capital of Europe (Norwich) nobody round here seems to have one.
Oh, and finally (for now), the 3DS has a billion LEDs on it for every purpose under the sun. Now there’s a selling point!
Imported your Mii fine, now I can shoot you in the face!
I’ve made a QR code of my Mii too, it’s here:
Where?
Well it was there, I posted the URL. Does your WP setup strip them from comments? I’ll try again:

It doesn’t strip them from users I’ve whitelisted. ANyway, you’re imported! Looks like you too.
Looks like me eh? I’m not sure if that’s a good thing…
