Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Did plenty of stuff today. Aside from the usual moon and shopping shenanigans, I visited all my animals and talked loads to them. I was hoping to get another picture from one of them, but no. I’m “good friends” with most of my animals now, especially Friga, Nan and Margie, but none of them want to give me their picture. Stupid animals. Lucky was sick again today, so got him some more medicine. I hope he dies. I also hope …

Brain Age (DS)

Aha! Much better today, and no silly 8 misrecognisation problems either. I’m sure the game just hates me sometimes. Anyway. 20 seconds for Calculations x20, a new entry on the Top 3 for Number Cruncher, and a reasonable time for Maze Thingie gave me a Brain Age of 20. Hurrah!

Brain Age (DS)

TWENTY SIX? WHAT? Rubbish. I can see why I got such a bad score (well, bad in comparison to the last two weeks or so, anyway), but it wasn’t my fault. I did extremely well in Calculations x20 (17 seconds!) and the maze thing (second place), but then Number Cruncher simply refused to accept my number 8 for a good minute or so. I really should have just turned the DS off and started again, but no. STUPID.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Lucky was ill today, and was hallucinating. He said something about eating yummy fluffy clouds, which frightened me a bit, so I left him to die. Also bought more moons, and everything in Nook’s. Sahara was about today too, and I ran some errands for her and got a carpet. Sadly, it wasn’t Citrus Floor, which I’m really desperate for, but can’t find anywhere. Except in on of my animal’s houses, of course. KILL THEM. No turnips sold either – …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Spent a while producing scamps and skeletons to raise up my Conjuration stats a bit, and then decided to go to Cheydinhal, since I’d never been there before and it’s the location of the next bit of the Thieves Guild questline. To get there, I warped to Imperial City, and the set off East on foot. Had a few bandits to contend with on the road, but they were easily killed with the help of a scamp! Explored Cheydinhal for …

Brain Age (DS)

Some absolutely stunning scores today (if I do say so myself), particularly on Syllable Count, where I beat the previous high score by a couple of seconds, and on Calculations x100 where I shaved 5 seconds off the top time. Sadly, I didn’t get a Brain Age of 20 over all, despite all that aceness. I got 21. Yeah, so it’s not bad, but I did get first place on the scoreboards on one test, and joint third on both …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Today is Yay Day again, but I mostly ignored that fact and just got on with the important task of buying turnips and selling fruit to make money to buy more turnips. They cost 96 bells today, and I spent about 265,000 bells on them. Not loads, but I didn’t want to break into my 10,000,000 again. I’d have had more, but all my money this week has been going to Nook for moons… Speaking of moons, two arrived in …

Brain Age (DS)

Despite the lateness of the hour, and the lack of concentration I was suffering when doing the daily training (the less said about some of the scores the better), I still managed to not only get a Brain Age of 20, but I also got in the top three for one of my trials and tied (but not recorded) first and third in the other two. I am teh bestaz0r.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

K.K. Slider night tonight, so I popped over to the Cafe for a listen. He played “Agent K.K.” for me, and it was so obviously trying to be a Bond theme I’m surprised Nintendo haven’t been strung up for it. Mind you, “Rockin’ K.K.” (my wife’s tune this evening) is blatently Jonny B Goode. Oh well. As well as the “gig”, I also sold all my turnips last minute for just 114 each. Not much of a profit, but at …

Brain Age (DS)

I regained my braneliness today, by managing to get another Brain Age of 20. I expect the 22 yesterday was just a “blip”. That makes 13 20s overall, and I’ve played every day for about 40 days now. Once I’ve hit two full months (filling the graphs, basically), and finished all the sudoku (of which I’m only 21% through), I will declare the game “complete”.

New Super Mario Bros (DS)

With all the worlds technically “complete”, I’m left with two tasks: get all the big coins (there are three hidden on each level), and spend them all (on opening gates, mainly). Went through World 1 and World 2, and now have all of the coins there. I also have all bar those in the Tower and Castle in World 3 as well. Some of them have been pretty difficult to get too – this is obviously where the real challenge …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Bah. Turnips were 47 bells today, and no-one is online with a decent price. Spanky was about, with 165 each, but I was hoping for 200+. Besides, my battery started to run out by the time I got there so had to leave pretty soon. Looks like tomorrow will be Waku Waku Turnip Day. Didn’t do a lot else, except moon/buy/fruit/water/visit. Margie the Elephant came over to see my house, and rated it 4/5. Nan only gave it 3/5 yesterday, …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Started off by asking the Thieves’ Guild bloke for another job, but him saying I needed to nick more stuff and sell it to the guy in Bruma. So I warped there, stole more alembics and retorts and stuff from the Bruma Mage’s Guild and sold them on. For some reason, I didn’t go back to the Waterfront and carry on the Thievery, but instead went returned to the Arena. I seem to have honed my block-then-attack skills somewhat now, …

New Super Mario Bros (DS)

You know, this is the best platformer I’ve played in years. Lots and lots of years, in fact. Ten or more. Yeah, Sonic Rush was great, and some of the Sonic Advance games were pretty good, but this is fantastic. Everything about it is so right. Controls, level design, secrets, retro-ness and everything. ACES. So today I finished off the two “secret” worlds – 4 and 7. By “finished”, I of course mean “defeated the boss in the castle at …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

No turnip sellage today either, with Nook offering just 47 bells each for them. Looks like I’m going to run out of days to sell again this week. Mad panic tomorrow then, begging for people with good prices to open gates for me. Dr. Shrunk paid a visit to Cheese today, and I learned how to display “approval”. Sadly, I had to lose another gesture, so I deleted “distress”. Clapping is ace. Nan came round to visit my house, but …
