Brain Age (DS)

What?! Somehow I managed to score just 7.1 (rather than my usual 13-ish) for Syllable Count today. It was even on my fourth attempt, as I kept reading too quickly. How it dropped so low, I have no idea. Stupid thing. Luckily, I did much better on most of my other trials, getting a few more top-3s along the way. Did exceptionally well for the Brain Age too – I got 20 again, but managed 16 seconds for Calculations x20 …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

It’s Sunday morning, and so it’s Turnip Time. Joan took a bit of finding, but it turned out she was right next to my house. Tch. Spent just over 500,000 bells buying 5,200 white turnips for 98 bells each, and then dumped them outside my house and Nook’s. Talked to a few of my animals, and found some more gyroids and fossils. Already had all the fossils though. Rubbish.

Brain Age (DS)

Yet another successful day on Brain Age. Managed two more top-threes in the training, and another one and two near-misses in the Brain Age test itself. Overall Age for today? 20, of course!

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Only a brief play this evening – enough to get my mail (which included a model of Nookingtons – my “prize” for reaching Platinum status, along with 20% off everything), have a visit from Bunnie (it’s a Flea Market day and I went inside my house), and then go over to the Museum to see K.K. Slider. He played K.K. Rockabilly for me today. It was ace.

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Extensive play today took me up to over 51 hours gametime. That’s like, forever. Or something. I’m certainly not going to explain everything I’ve done today, but here’s a bit of a synopsis: I summoned my skeleton, then killed it, over and over to get souls, with which I enchanted a few more things, making a full 22% shield at all times. Then set off to get a staff from some glade, only to be attacked. Got the staff, made …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

I didn’t actually do all that much today, even though I played for over an hour. I started by warping to Imperial City, and entered the Arcane University. After talking to some bloke there, I was promoted to Apprentice, and gained 10 more Gamerpoints (570 now) and another Achievement. I was then given pretty much free run of the University, and so explored it a bit. There was a Library, full of books (obviously). Reading many of them boosted my …

As well as that, I hit the top-3 again for some of the tests, getting an ACE 16 second time for Calculations x20. Also did one of the sudoku puzzles, seeing as I haven’t tried any of them in what seems like ages.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Platinumness Get! Hurrah! I don’t know what it entitles me to, but I’ve got it anyway. No more moon-buying for me! Excellent. Also excellent was the fact that Margie has decided to stay. And she was very pleased with the Regal Vanity I gave her today when she asked for White Furniture. Robin is after Blue stuff, Dirty Bunnie wants Pink (f’nar), and Friga wants houseplants. Can’t they do their own damn shopping? Also found a few more things for …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Since I was in Anvil anyway, and Crowhaven was just a short walk away, I decided to follow up the Grey Prince’s quest, and find out about his parents. Worked my way through the dungeon of Crowhaven, and killed Lord Lovidicus. Found his diary, and then worked my way out. I took a wrong turn on the way to the exit, and found myself being attacked by a Vampire Knight. Erk! I’d heard that catching Vampirism was a Bad Thing, …

Brain Age (DS)

Not much to say about my scores again today, except for the fact that they were all pretty good, and overall I managed another Brain Age of 20, getting just a whisker from the bottom of each of the three scoreboards. No “8 is not 6 or 2” issues today, either.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

What a day for new stuff in Cheese! It was chucking it down, so I thought (once I’d done my “chores”), that I’d go fishing for the first time in about two months, mainly in the hope I’d get a coelacanth. I didn’t, although there was a HUGE fish, complete with shark-like fin and everything. I thought I’d stuck lucky (but Lucky was still ill, aha!), until I caught it. Imagine my surprise when it turned out to be an …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

I started the game at Weatherleah, and decided to head to Skingrad to progess the Nirnroot quest, as I had enough of the herb to do so, and it was just a quick cross-country job south from where I was. It didn’t take more than a few minutes, but I found both a wayshrine and an Oblivion Gate along the way. Erk. After speaking to Nirnroot Man in Skingrad, and finding he now wanted another 20 of them, I thought …
