Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

With a Tim Miller-theory-beating 67 bells per turnip price in Nook’s today, I was glad to find that new-player Jonathan (in Sundale) had Nook buying for 417 each. I popped over with 1500 of them, making almost half a million bells profit already. I have another 1000 or so to flog, but ran out of time before Jonathan disconnected. Still, even if I don’t sell, I’m still bells-in this week. Also did the usual talking, watering, fruit selling. I’m over …

Marble Blast Ultra (360)

Nope. I just can’t do the half-pipey level at all. The game is clearly broken. I did, however, manage to find an easter egg on the very first level when I was trying to improve my times. That gained me 5 gamerpoints and another achievement. Hurrah! I have a gamerscore of 120 now! Ph34r m3. Whilst time-improving, I got thoroughly confused by the leaderboard system. I don’t understand why, despite having the fastest time (amongst my friend list) on several …

Marble Blast Ultra (360)

I’m now on Level 59. I have, however, now skipped three levels. The hardest one seems to be the multiple half-pipes level, which I have no idea how to complete – I can’t get over the top of them, and on the one occassion I fluked the first one, I died right afterwards.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Peak turnip bellage today was 110, so I didn’t bother selling. I hope it’s a bit higher than that before the end of the week though, as I fear for my turnips accidently going rotten or some eejit walking off with them when they come to visit. Speaking of visiting, I went over to see Lyzzy in Scotton this afternoon, but her turnip price was worse than mine. The game also lagged out, which was a shame. Back in Cheese, …

Some Xbox 360 Demo Games (360)

So I downloaded a few more game demos today. First off, was Full Auto, which is very much like Burnout only with guns. And a Prince of Persia-style time-rewind system. It plays nice and all, but it doesn’t look much better than Burnout 3. In fact, in some ways, it’s actually worse visually. Probably not a game I’ll be buying any time soon, sorry Sega… Then I played Quake 4. I don’t mind FPS games, but they’re not my favourite …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

I spotted that Tim was still online, so I went to Booker’s Lost and Found, and took out all the Pitfalls he had there, before popping over to Bangaio for some mischief. Oho. I did plant some coconutes for him too, wrote on his board, and sent some letters. Hilarious. When I came back to Cheese, I did the Dr. Dolittle thing, and talked with the animals. I then went and nicked almost all the flowers growing in the town, …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Tim Miller was online this afternoon, so I popped over to see Bangaio. And it was FULL of flowers. I’ve never seen so many. He also had a load of items laid out for people to take, pick up and drop (to add them to their catalogue) or whatever. I picked up and dropped all of them, but kept an Exotic Wardrobe and a Quince Bonsai. Checked his Nook’s (as it were) to check turnip prices, but they were about …

Marble Blast Ultra (360)

I’ve now completed all of the Intermediate levels, although some were very difficult (at least the first time through, anyway). I haven’t managed to get a Par Time on them all, in fact, I’ve only managed it on about half of them. It did give me one of the achievements, though, and I think I’ll be able to do them without too much difficulty.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Didn’t spend all that much time on this today. Visited a few animals, and bought everything Tom Nook had for sale (paid for with fruit earnings), but that was about it. Turnips were only 88 bells so I didn’t sell any. They hadn’t vanished or gone off or anything overnight though, which was good. Today is the first day of the Flower Festival, and Tortimer gave me some red flowers, which I planted near my house. I suppose I should …

Marble Blast Ultra (360)

Note the lack of “(Demo)” in that thar title. I bought it with the last of my points (well, not the last – I have 100 left that’ll buy me almost nothing). I’ve played and completed all of the Beginner levels, passing them all under par first go, bar one – the one you have to finish it in 20 seconds or less, but can’t. Turns out there are five “time travel” power-ups you can collect to make it possible. …

Zuma (360)

Another game bought with my “points” card, this time for 800 points. Yeah, I know it’s available for the PC and all, but I don’t play PC games any more, really. And the demo was somewhat addictive. I’ve managed to get as far as level 3-5 so far, and gained just the one achievement. Feeble.

Marble Blast Ultra (Demo) (360)

This is a great game! The graphics have that bizarre shiny-sticky-plastic look to them that plagued Kameo, but it doesn’t matter here. People have likened Marble Blast to Super Monkey Ball, but they’re not really all that similar. Marble Blast‘s levels are more maze-like, with jumps and power-ups, whereas Monkey Ball is all skill and speed. There’s no time limits here, although levels have a “par time” to beat. Some levels have gems to collect, and gravity direction switches too …
