Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (360): COMPLETED!
My, that was a lot shorter than Harry Potter. Probably, oooh, 8 or 9 hours? And remember that I was stuck on the very first level for almost two hours. There were some long levels, but overall it was certainly shorter than Harry Potter. That’s probably mainly due to no between-level story and lesson bits. In terms of the “whole game cleanup”, I’ve already got half of the Red Hats, including the 2x, 8x and a second 2x multipliers, meaning …

Lego Pirates of the Caribbean (360)
It’s more Lego! First, the bad stuff. It has crashed on me already – my console froze just 10 minutes in. However, it did the same on Lego Harry Potter last week, so it might be my 360. Then, on the first boss fight, it bugged out meaning Barbosa just stood there, indestructible, and I couldn’t progress. Finally, it seems so small! You see, Harry Potter was huge. The levels were big, but more than that – 4 books with …
Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars (3DS)
Yes, I’m still playing it! Obviously with Lego Harry Potter being ALL CONSUMING for a while I’ve been playing it less, but I still do a mission or so every couple of days. It’s probably the best way to play it, actually. I failed my first mission today, due to a poor choice for the level when picking a team of three. I just didn’t have the firepower to take down all the trucks necessary. I’ve done it now though, and am …
The Sonic Cycle: Sonic Generations Edition
No furries. Has “classic” Sonic without green eyes. BLUE SKIES. Actual Green Hill Zone. Could it be that the cycle has been broken? Almost certainly not. But it looks nice. “Original” Sonic level: “Modern” Sonic level:
I am the Face of Words With Friends
There’s a game for iOS (and Android) called Words With Friends. It is a clone of Scrabble. Except for legal reasons it isn’t. But anyway. It’s a tile based word game. Whatever. Anyway. The other day, some random person started a game of it with me. This isn’t unusual, as there’s a random match-up facility. This person, however, asked me in the in-game chat if I was the same “deKay01” as was in The Telegraph the other day. I was …
Synology DS211j Review
Being the paranoid about backups person that I am, I’ve been looking for ages for a way of backing up my Mac to a device in my loft. For a while now I’ve been weighing up the various pros and cons of assorted NAS devices, and a month or so ago finally settled on the Synology DS211j. It came top, or near-top, in virtually every NAS review roundup I could find (at least all those in the £200-ish price range …
Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (360)
100%ed! That means everything done, collected, found, and achieved, with 1000/1000 gamer score and everything. Yay! Now I have to give it a verdict. I said at the start that I wasn’t a fan of Harry Potter. I’m still not, but somehow I now hate the series less. The game, despite the painful not-knowing-which-house issues, was excellent. And huge. MASSIVELY huge. Aside from the Star Wars Complete Saga “two-games-in-one” title, this is by far the biggest Lego game I’ve played. …

How do you buy from Lenovo?
Answer: You don’t. In fact, you can’t. I couldn’t anyway. It’s not even the first time something like this has happened with Lenovo, as they’ve been utterly useless in the past.
Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 (360): COMPLETED
Completed, but just 48% done. Well, actually 72% done now, but 48% when I completed it. But that’s normal for Lego games – the bulk is done after you complete the game. And what have I done? I’ve been scouring the levels and hub for a character who can do Dark Magic (turns out someone called Lucius can) and then going everywhere in Hogwarts to open up and access things I couldn’t before I got a dark magic character or …
Let’s Play! Freddy Hardest
It’s been a while since I last did a Friday Let’s Play, but here’s one you really should have a go at – Freddy Hardest. I recently played and recorded it for Game Over, Yeah!!, and got almost nowhere – see this video: Can you do any better with your first life? I doubt it.
