Completed another two “worlds” today, having spent ages and ages trying to get past the Starfish level. It’s just like one of the levels in Super Monkey Ball 2 on the Gamecube (as, in fact, many levels are), but for some reason, it’s $hlmun times harder on the DS game. I went back to this game this evening, although I’m not really sure why. I should be working my way through Fire Emblem or Warrior Within or something. Anyway. Decided to try and see how far through the Game+ mode I could get. Surprisingly, despite the first level on the first world appearing impossible last time I tried, I’ve managed to get to level 3-2 without much difficulty. Had a quick try on Expert 1 again too, but failed. Rubbish.
Yet another new game today! Again, I only had a brief go, but did play all three training levels. It’s exactly the same as the Gamecube version, isn’t it? That’s a good thing, of course. Also had a go as 3-on-2-on-3 in an 8-player (7 CPU and me) teams game. Which was very small, very noisy, and very, very hectic. And BEST.
I haven’t played a WonderSwan game in what seems like $hlmun years. Had a quick go on this (which arrived today) mainly to make sure it worked. And it’s great, although I think it’s a missed opportunity on the WS – it would have been ACE to play with the screen vertical, but no. Played and completed 500m mode, losing only one life. That makes it one tenth as difficult as the DS Mr. Driller game, which was virtually impossible.
