The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

The “other guy” was called Agarmir, it seems. I have a terrible memory for game character names. Anyway, I hung around outside his house until he left, and then picked the lock in order to get in. Couldn’t find much inside, until I picked the lock to his basement and found a book – a book containing the spoils Agarmir had got from grave robbing. And then he’s been selling them to Thoronir cut price. With book in hand, I …

Tetris DS (DS)

Played a couple of games of Push Mode online against someone called “Ms Candy” this evening. I won both times, but it seemed like I was going to lose each one, until I managed a Tetris and she (I assume it’s a she) died almost instantly. Tch, eh? Had a quick go (offline) at Touch Puzzle Mode, and completed the first 10 or so puzzles, and then did the Yoshi’s Cookie themed Puzzle Mode, but only managed the first three …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Aside from the usual (fruit selling, animal chatting, fossil finding, Nook’s shop buying), Saharra was about today, so did some errands for her and got a Lunar Ground flooring from her. I then decided to check my wifi settings had migrated from my old DS OK, and so went online. Tim was about, in Bangaio, so I popped over there. Had a nose in his house, spoke to some of his animals, and left notes and sent letters. Kieron and …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

You know, I’m almost four hours in to this game now, and I still haven’t actually done anything much yet. Today, I spent the best part of an hour jumping round Imperial City. No, really. Just walking and jumping. Of course, I was waiting for Thorimir (I think that’s his name, anyway), the dodgy trader from yesterday, to open up shop so I could have a “quiet word” with him, then followed him when he left work and went to …

FIFA Soccer 06 (DS)

Still plugging through Career Mode. Played about 5 or 6 matches today, and won them all. The only one that gave me any concern was the 4th Round (I think) “English Cup” tie against Newcastle United. Neither side had scored by 40 minutes in, and they’d been playing much better than me overall. Thankfully, I got two in before half-time, and then went on to win 5-0.

Puyo Pop Fever (DS)

Having two DSeseseses really increases the usefulness of some games, it seems. Played this for a while against my wife. It’s just a great as the GC version we used to play, only, er, we don’t need to use the GC to play it. There’s validation in that statement somewhere, I’m sure.

ポケモントローゼ (DS)

Haven’t played this for a while, and now I have my shiny new DS Lite I thought I’d have another go on the fantastic new screens… Still playing through story mode, and I’ve completed all up to Level 14 or so, and defeated three bosses now. There’s a new option on the map screen to play a “survive for x minutes” game, which I played too. After all that, I played multiplayer with my wife. It took a while figuring …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

My DS Lite has arrived! If you follow my posts on assorted groups and forums, you’ll know it was lost by DHL for several days, but it’s here now! Besides fawn over it for a bit, the first thing I did was link up with my old DS, and visit my wife’s town. Took over loads of money and fruit for her. She’s only about a month into the game and has only one non-native fruit, so now she has …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Attempt number two at killing the marauders ended somewhat better than the first time, not least because the one that kept shooting fireballs at me kept hitting the floor with them instead of me (I was hiding down some steps), and so I kept shooting arrows at him. After that, and after raiding the bodies, I left the fort and headed back to Imperial City. Found loads of mushrooms on the way, so picked them. It was the middle of …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Finally! I have an actual real 360 game that isn’t a demo or an Xbox Live Arcade download! And it is actually pretty impressive too. Perhaps the last game like this that I’ve played was probably some Amiga title which I’ve forgotten the name of. I was always tempted by Morrowind, which is the game before Oblivion in the Elder Scrolls series, but the PC version would run like poo on my PC (at the time) and the ten minute …

Zuma (360)

Played Adventure Mode again for a while. Managed to reach level 4-5, but then failed. Failed due to my own stupidity too, as I just kept mis-shooting near the end in a bit of a panic, and ended up adding so many balls to the run that I ended up dying. Stupid.

Marble Blast Ultra (360)

Managed to do the half-pipe level! Hurrah! It seems the trick is to jump repeatedly across the “bottom” of the pipe, which makes you build up speed to make it up the other side. I still couldn’t manage the other two Advanced levels though – the mountain one, and “Schadenfreud” or whatever it’s called. Pah. Went and did a load of Intermediate again to get Par times. I only have two left to do – the spelunking one being one. …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Since I couldn’t play it last night, I set my DS’s clock back to 9pm yesterday so that I could visit K.K. Slider. He played me a song (which I’ve forgotten the name of). I then put the clock right to play some more. No Joan today, as it is still the Flower Festival. That means no turnips. It does mean that I don’t have to worry about getting a decent price today, though. Instead, I planted even more fruit …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Sold the rest of my turnips today, for only 90 bells each. I’m not too fussed though, as I made such a huge profit already. Planted a few more flowers near my house. I can’t actually plant any more now as there’s no space. Hope I win! Also planted some more fruit trees around the place, but mainly near Nook’s so I don’t have to go as far each time I want to sell the fruit. Also bought all of …
