Lethal gases don’t work weekends
Yesterday, our carbon monoxide monitor broke. I rang British Gas, and, since it was still under warranty, they told me to ring the manufacturer for a free replacement. So I did. Unfortunately, although the replacement would indeed be free, we’d have to send it back, wait a bit, and then they’d send it back repaired (or replaced). Today was our final planned trip to see the midwife before the baby is due. We’ve got another appointment for a few days after its due date just in case it hasn’t arrived by then, but all being well today was the last one. And pretty much everything was OK. Well, there’s no ending as such, but you get a message saying you’ve built a castle and now all that remains is to customise your kingdom. Since customising it doesn’t achieve anything, and I’ve now got all the single-player (and one of the multiplayer) achievements, I can call this “done”. Seven and a half hours of stress-free, dangerless gaming. Yay!
