Finished up a few games, spent a lot of money, that sort of thing.
Play
Lego Jurassic World (PS4)
100%, all achievements done! Took about 28 hours in total which seems short for a Lego game, especially one with 275 gold bricks to collect. More here.
Bayonetta (Wii U)
Which I completed. Lots of fun, completely ridiculous, and a fantastic Space Harrier reference near the end. Excellent.
Nova-111 (PS4)
What I started playing just to see what it was like, turned into a pretty good game I decided to play to completion. I wrote more here.
Lego Marvel Avengers Demo (Wii U)
Oh dear. The poor Wii U just can’t cope with this in two player, screen each mode. I know Lego Marvel Super Heroes was a bit jerky (and was one of the reasons I got the PS4 version of Lego Jurassic World), but this is really quite disastrous. Maybe the full game will be better? I don’t know – I’ll be getting the PS4 one, sadly. Seems OK aside from that though, Lego innit.
Disney Infinity 3.0 (PS4)
Look. I got it because it was very cheap and someone at work said it was great. I’ve no interest in Disney or Star Wars or collecting more figures (I’ve a pile of Amiibo and Skylanders already) but… I don’t have to explain myself to you. Seems pretty dull so far, actually, but saved simply because you can dropkick Ewoks. ALL games should let you dropkick Ewoks. More here.
Assassin’s Creed Unity (PS4)
I’m aware of the issues people have had with this, and I know it isn’t supposed to be one of the “good” Assassin’s Creed games, but it was a little over £10 and I do enjoy the series. I’m not very far in, but it seems like a better graphics version of more of the same. More or less. Nothing bad about it yet, apart from the story hasn’t really impressed so far. More here.
Want
Definitely not some Marvel characters and packs and whatever for Disney Infinity
Lego Marvel Avengers (PS4)
PS4 choice vindicated, see above.
No Man’s Sky (PS4)
When are they going to get to the fireworks factory!?
Firewatch (PS4)
I know it’s out, and after finishing off Bayonetta, I was going to buy it. Thing is, there are reports of the framerate being utterly broken so I’ve left it for a bit.
Bin
Nothing this week.
Expense
As you can see, I had a slight slip when I bought Disney Infinity 3.0, but it was only £21.99 for the starter kit. Also picked up £25 of PSN credit for £20 to pay for the Fallout 4 Season Pass before they put the price up, and £33 for PS+ after I decided to renew it.
Sega also gave out some free games on Steam too, so I’ve Golden Axe, Jet Set Radio and Hell Yeah! from there.
Oh, and £10.57 for Assassin’s Creed Unity, of course.
