Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

That idiot kitten of Kaitlin’s was in my town today, and her mum was in Venture. It clearly didn’t take long for them to get separated again. Took her over when Rev was online, and had a wander round Venture as I was there. Had a chat with a few of his animals, and sent one a letter. Wrote on his notice board too. When I got back to Cheese, I talked to my animals and sold fruit (again). I …

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 (DC): COMPLETED

That makes two THPS games in two days! Got through the rest of the game without too many difficulties. Finding all five Magic Bums on Venice Beach was a bit of a pain (the fifth one eluded me – it was right where you start the level!), and the final Bull Ring competition was a close thing (I won by just 0.1 points), but aside from those there weren’t many problems. I haven’t 100%ed the whole game, and Philidelphia in …

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 (DC)

Finished off the School II level, getting stuck on trying to find the last bit of cash (which turned out to be right at the start of the level – I just hadn’t seen it. Tch). I’m also sure that I should be able to open the gym up by grinding the Opensezme Rail, but that doesn’t seem to work. Marseilles was next, and was a competition. And very easy it was too, with me getting 96.6 and 98.4 as …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

I had a day’s worth of clock-stepping to catch up with today, so got a fair amount of stuff done. Sold all my turnips for 178 bells each, which wasn’t too bad. Also made around 70,000 bells selling fruit and some fish I’d caught. Today was a Flea Market day, and so I went round everyone’s houses and bought loads of stuff. Not because I needed it, but because I thought it would be funny to she them all with …

Tony Hawk’s Skateboarding (DC): COMPLETED!

It only took about an hour’s play today, but I managed to complete the game! Hurrah! It was much, much easier than the N-Gage version. This was, in part, due to the controls and visibility being much better on the Dreamcast. However, I’m almost certain some of the score goals were significantly lower, and the competitions were much more forgiving. Anyway, Game Over now!

Tony Hawk’s Skateboarding (DC)

I’ve aborted playing THPS2 for the DC for the time being, since my copy of this (otherwise known as THPS on other platforms) arrived today and it makes sense to play it first. Yeah, I played and completed the N-Gage version earlier this year, but this version is much better. It isn’t on the N-Gage for a start… Anyway. Played and got all of the goals in the Warehouse, and have managed to pick up a couple on the School …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Fruit galore again today! Caroline the Squirrel seems to be better now, finally. She’d been ill for the last four or five days. But didn’t die or anything. Dug up a couple of fossils and made about 60,000 bells in total today, although turnips were only 84 bells today so didn’t sell them. Also got a message in a bottle from “The Animal Crossing Team” with some “Handy Tips” in it. None of which had any bearing on the game. …

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 (DC)

YES! LOOK! A DREAMCAST GAME! And, yes, it’s ANOTHER Tony Hawk’s game. In fact, it’s the very first one I ever played, but only (up until now) own on the PC. And it doesn’t work on Windows XP. So I had to buy it for the DC. Anyway. It’s amazing how well the graphics have aged. There’s not really much in it between this and the GC and Xbox. Unfortunately, THPS2 doesn’t have any reverts, pivots, flatlands or tweaks, making …

Super Monkey Ball: Touch & Roll (DS)

Just a brief play today. Tried the third world (jungle, or something, i think) and got stuck on a level right out of Super Monkey Ball 2 on the Gamecube. It’s called Starfish, and is bloody hard. Went back to the Desert World instead, and managed to complete it with ease this time, and got 239/500 bananas in the End Of Game Credits Game.

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Totally fruitariffic! Or something! Sold another pile of fruit today, and failed to get a decent price for turnips again (just 70 bells). Found a gongaloid thing too, but expected to find more after the rain last night. Oh well. Rev popped in briefly, bringing Kaitlin’s daughter with him. Kaitlin was very pleased, although personally I think Rev had been touching her daughter inappropriately. But you didn’t hear that from me. I caught two butterflies then, and donated them to …

Fire Emblem (GBA)

Chapter 18 was attempted today. It was a Fog of War mission, but was actually pretty simple. However, some other Pegasus Knight appeared, who I assume I need to get Florina my Pegasus Knight to talk to in order to get her on my “team”, but unfortunately I hadn’t chosen Florina as part of my group so couldn’t. Was considering restarting the chapter, and then one of my characters died at the hands (or rather, sword) of Uhai, the “boss” …

Super Monkey Ball: Touch & Roll (DS)

New game day! Well, almost every day is New Game Day at the moment, but anyway. Played through the first world, completing it without much difficulty (and with ten lives spare afterwards), and then moved onto the desert world. Got to level 9 I think, and lost my last life there. I played all of the party games then, including a full round of Monkey Mini Golf on which I scored 55. It would have been much lower, but Hole …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Sold even more fruit today – about 45,000 bells worth. I’ve been putting the money into my post office savings rather than on my mortgage as I might as well gain a bit of interest on it before paying the mortgage off. Found three fossils (all of which I had already), and turnips were a pretty poor 74 bells today. Caroline the Squirrel is still ill. Took her more medicine, but I think she might die. Well, possibly. Why can’t …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Stacks and stacks of fruit have grown again. It’s handy as a way of getting unlimited money, but just takes ages to harvest and sell. Sold a bit though, and then went and paid Crazy Redd for his “exclusive membership”. Bought a Kiddie Clock from him for my clock collection, and got a Dainty Painting too, which turned out to be a fake. Bah. At least I’d bought insurance from Lyle at the weekend, so I might get some of …

Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (GC)

Either I’m just rubbish, or there’s really no proper way of telling which way you’re supposed to go in this game half the time. You go through the same rooms so many times that it’s easy to get lost. And lost I got, and after twenty minutes of going in the wrong direction I realised I wasn’t doing what I was supposed to and so reloaded an earlier saved game. Then I found the Woman in Red again, got a …
