Not selling the fruit yesterday was a bad idea – there’s TONS of it in Cheese today, both on trees and on the floor. I spentabout half an hour clearing it, and made about 120,000 bells, but I’ve barely made a dent. Turnips were 80 bells today, which was crap. So I didn’t sell them. A triumphant return to form after the slightly poor results of yesterday gave me a new record on one of the tasks, mostly 2nd and 3rd placed scores in the others, and 18 seconds for the Calculations x20. I can do it without thinking now. In fact, that’s the way I do it best! Brain Age for the day – 20! ACES.
Completed two more each on Hard and Super Hard. One of each was really easy, with loads of 9 and 10 rows and columns, but the other one of each were both pains having not much in the way of complete or end rows to work from. Got my lowest Super Hard score so far – 88. Rubbishness.
This arrived today (along with a copy of Project Gotham Racing 2, which I already own), so I thought I’d have a quick play and see what games are on there. Played Cameltry, Bubble Bobble Memories, Pop ‘n Pop, Space Invaders DX, some isometric fighting game, and a few others. Of course, Bubble Bobble Memories was the superacebestest of the lot.
My results today were a little disappointing, most of them being slightly lower than previously. Perhaps I wasn’t concentrating or something. I had problems readng too fast for the Reading Aloud test too, which is annoying. Worst of all, my Brain Age was 26. Pah.
Didn’t play for long on this today. Checked my turnip prices (87 bells), watered my red turnip, and shook loads of fruit trees to get the fruit to drop, but didn’t sell any. I really couldn’t be bothered with it today.
I’m now about 31.5 hours in to this huge, huge game. And I still haven’t even scratched the surface. Firstly, I quick-travelled to Imperial City, found the guy with the staff I needed, and brought it back to Bravil. I took it to Kud-Ei at the Mage’s Guild, who has now sent a recommendation to the Arcane University. I wandered around Bravil some more, and found a few items that I wanted to sell. Unlocked Hard Mode on Triangle Maths today, for getting 17 stamps, it seems. Why 17, I have no idea. Managed to break a couple of records in Training Mode, including Calculations x100 (even though I got one wrong!), which was pretty good. Even better was my Brain Age for the day – 20 again! ACES.
Since I was in Bravil (I wish I could stop reading that as Breville – I keep thinking about sandwich toasters) anyway, I thought I might as well explore. Turnips were 108 bells each today, and I didn’t feel like spending quite as much as I usually do on them, so only forked out about 450,000 bells. Found an Inn in the Market District and paid for a bed. Lo and behold, I was woken by a man in a black habit. He told me to go to the Inn of Ill Omen, south of the Imperial City (and en-route to Bravil) and kill an old man there named Rufio. Upon doing so, I would be able to join the Dark Brotherhood. With the day running out, and no-one online to save me, I gave in and sold my turnips to Nook for 108 bells each. I was a bit sad, but at least I made a little profit (about 100,000 bells overall), so it’s not like I’m out of pocket. It all begins again tomorrow anyway! Realised then that it was almost K.K. Just two more puzzles today – a Hard and a Super Hard. One of the “squares” in the Super Hard one was a pain – there were not many bits ot fill in, so all the rows and columns were like “2 1 1” or “1 1”, which makes things pretty difficult. Anyway. That’s now 38% of the game complete.
As I’m now in the Thieves Guild, I thought it might be an idea to start nicking stuff. I’ve not really stolen much before, so didn’t know where to start. The guy who entered me into the guild wants me to steal 50 gold worth of stuff, and take it so someone in Bruma, before he’ll start giving me proper missions. First of all, I should point out that I managed to get a Brain Age of 20 again today! That’s my third one! Secondly, I did worse in each of the three tests than I did yesterday. When I got an age of 22. Confusion abounds!
