Exporting routes from Endomondo (and using them in Google Maps)
I love Endomondo, but one thing it doesn’t do is let you export routes you’ve created and use them in other applications and things like Google Earth and Google Maps. Sure, you can export workouts as both tcx and gpx files, but that means you need to have actually cycled the route first before you can export it. In my route planning, I like to create the rough route in Endomondo, then stick that in Google Maps and look for nearby …
3DS Game Need List
It’s been a while since I posted up a list of games I need. Sorry, NEED. Some would say there aren’t many 3DS games out recently or in the next 12 months, which, if true, makes me wonder which bit of me made all these up: Theatrhythm Final Fantasy Marvel Pinball Heroes of Ruin Professor Layton & the Mask of Miracle New Super Mario Bros 2 Luigi’s Mansion 2 Harvest Moon Fire Emblem Rayman Origins Epic Mickey Paper Mario Layton …
Injecting Windows Updates into install WIM files via MDT
For a while now we’ve been deploying Windows 7 on the network using the Microsoft Deployment Toolbox, and it generally works well. However, some of the images we deploy are now about a year old, and a year is a long time in the wonderful world of Microsoft Critical And Security Updates, and so having deployed a new PC there’s still a good hour’s worth of install-reboot-install-reboot-install “fun” with the updates. I decided it was time to start rolling the …
My first Arduino project – Pulse
OK, so it’s not really a project. And the circuit is just that used in the ARDX manual for CIRC-07. But the program is mine! It’s not very exciting, but then I expect first projects rarely are. If you can’t tell from the video, the LED pulses and the two buttons control the speed of the pulse. int ledPin = 9; int inputPin1 = 3; int inputPin2 = 2; int val = 0; void setup() { pinMode(ledPin, OUTPUT); pinMode(inputPin1, INPUT); …
Skyrim Louis Letrush bug
After stealing a horse for Louis Letrush many hours ago in Skyrim, I noticed half-a-Louis near the stables outside Whiterun. He seemed to be stuck in the ground. It was odd, sure, but this sort of thing is reasonably common in games like this. However, a few hours later I was walking past Whiterun again, and, well – watch.

Let’s Play! Light Cycle
It’s been an age since I had a Friday Let’s Play! Before I’d even heard of Tron, or seen another one of the 8962398146238 game clones of the Tron Light Cycle sequence, I had this – Light Cycle (Light Cycles on the title screen, for some reason) by PSS. It was awesome. Looking back now, it looks basic even by Spectrum standards, but the gameplay is still there. I also don’t remember any other variant having the little “blips” around …
Pound-a-Mile Update – 500 Miles!
I’ve not done an update on this for a while, but since I hit a milestone last night I thought I should. Yesterday I passed the 500 miles cycled so far this year mark! OK, so I managed 200 miles in the first month, then took 3.5 times that long to go just 1.5 times that far, but bear with me and my excuses. Firstly, I have tried to go out – honest. Nearly every week I’ve at least gone out …
32GB should be more than enough for anyone
You'd think that having 32GB of RAM on your PC would be enough to run Chrome and iTunes, right? Apparently not. Posted via email from deKay’s posterous
