With Skijumptoes leapfrogging (ha!) some people on the leaderboard, and Mike Mentalist close behind him, I was pressed to increase my lead again. And I did – 14880 points to the second place 12,000-ish. Powaz to me.

MAXIMUM TURNIPAGE!!!! I spent over 1,250,000 bells on 95-a-time turnips today. That, well, loads of them. Fahsands. I’ve dumped them all on “hard” ground, filling outside my house, outside Nook’s, outside the museum, and loads of the ground outside the town hall. Aces. Now I just hope I can sell them at a profit… Frobert asked me today if we could buy matching gym clothes and walk around together. Then he touched my bottom.

We also played this. It seems that in 4-player mode you get some extra rounds not available in the 2-player game, which was a little confusing. Unfortunately for my co-players, I won this too. Sorry, and everything. My prize was Tokyo. Yes, all of it.

Played this round a friends’ house. It was the first time I’d played in four player mode, and it is a bit more frantic with more on you on the buzzers. I was losing after the first two rounds, but the last few rounds completely turned the tables and I ended up winning. My prize? A desert island!

Played this for a bit. Having already looked at Beginner and Intermediate, I attempted Hard and then Insane. And oh yes, they’re a bit hard, aren’t they? Did really, really poorly on both (although strangely, I performed better on Insane).

Started again from Level 1, only this time on Yellow Belt difficulty. Managed to get the 4x Multiplier achievement, and also improved my score to well over 15,000,000 points (putting me up by about 5 places on my friends list). Got the difficulty up to 198% too, but then died. I need 200% for the next belt, you see. Bah.

More online play in this, and I now have all bar three of the achievements unlocked. Still remaining are the Bluff, Win 10 4-player games and Win 40 games ones, which I think will come eventually with time.

Improved on my high score even further today, which is just as well as a couple of people on my friends list were inching closer. I’m now at just over 13,000, which should hold off my nearest competitor (SomethingWitty) at 10,000-ish for a while. Had a few more goes online in Coop mode, and the lag was awful again so gave up. Did manage to unlock the Chicken 2 achievement, though, as well as another one for completing Level 4.

Didn’t have a lot to do in Cheese today, aside from a bit of weeding and some animal visiting. Checked turnip prices just to be completist, and Nook was offering 111 bells. Glad I sold up yesterday, then! Also dug up a few gyroids and fossils, and sold them. Every bell helps for the turnip purchasing tomorrow…

I jumped between them quite a bit, so I’m lumping them all together here. I played Frogger a bit more, and got another achievement, but didn’t improve my score. I played Uno a lot and got a few achievements there (and actually won an online game), and also played Mutant Storm Reloaded and improved my score, but didn’t get any more achievements.

I managed to get a few more achievements on this today, played online in two-player for a bit (although online mode is horrendously laggy and effectively broken as a result), and rose to the top of my friend’s list leaderboard with just over 10,000 points. I am clearly BESTEST.

Hurrah! Turnips were being bought for 348 bells today in Cheese, which is great price. Made about a million bells profit as a result. My wife came over to sell too (she’d not sold them all yesterday), as did a couple of WFC visitors. Aside from all the selling, I visited my animals, and also caught a couple of fish. Looks like rainy season has finally stopped, as the sun was out today, and there were gyroids a-plenty!

And I also bought this with some of my excess points. It’s abit like Geometry Wars, only more level-based. It is also about 986675325 times easier. I got up to Level 28, without dying, and unlocking two achievements in the process, and then gave up as it was bed time.

Since I’d splashed out on Frogger, and I’d bought 2000 Points with which to buy it, I had some left over and as a result Uno was purchased. I played just the one full game, online, against some random people. I won the first two hands, then narrowly missed the third, and then was way off on the fourth by which time someone else had won overall. Boo.

Yes. I bought it. I don’t really know why, but I did. And it’s ACE. I know it’s only Frogger and everything, but having a leaderboard and achievements (of which I gained three) really makes more of the “get as many points as you can” gameplay.
