Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

On today’s list: water red turnip (check), find out white turnip prices (check – 80 bells each), visit all my animals in the hope there might be some belated birthday gifts (check – there wasn’t), dig up gyroids as it rained yesterday (check – found three), buy everything in Nook’s (nope – couldn’t be bothered), harvest all ten million fruit in the town (nope – I sold about 25,000 bells worth, but couldn’t bring myself to do the rest). I’m …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Not selling the fruit yesterday was a bad idea – there’s TONS of it in Cheese today, both on trees and on the floor. I spentabout half an hour clearing it, and made about 120,000 bells, but I’ve barely made a dent. Turnips were 80 bells today, which was crap. So I didn’t sell them. Nook was a bit preoccupied anyway, with hair concerns. Went shopping at Crazy Redd’s, but I already had a Calm Painting. I did buy his …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

Into the Plane of Oblivion! I didn’t bother with the gate to Kvatch this time, and instead headed through the Oblivion Gate and into the Plane of Oblivion. There were a few pretty easy-to-kill baddies inside, and a soldier on my side, who tried to run away. I convinced him to stay and help, but he managed to get himself killed fairly quickly anyway. Tch. There was a huge tower to enter, and more baddies inside – some of which …

The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion (360)

The “other guy” was called Agarmir, it seems. I have a terrible memory for game character names. Anyway, I hung around outside his house until he left, and then picked the lock in order to get in. Couldn’t find much inside, until I picked the lock to his basement and found a book – a book containing the spoils Agarmir had got from grave robbing. And then he’s been selling them to Thoronir cut price. With book in hand, I …

Super Monkey Ball: Touch & Roll (DS)

Completed another two “worlds” today, having spent ages and ages trying to get past the Starfish level. It’s just like one of the levels in Super Monkey Ball 2 on the Gamecube (as, in fact, many levels are), but for some reason, it’s $hlmun times harder on the DS game. I think I might be due to the gap in the “star” being narrower, and the star stopping for a shorter time. Anyway, with that level out of the way, …

Fire Emblem (GBA)

Decided to go back to Chapter 16 and pay the fortune teller 50 gold to let me know what I’m supposed to do to “turn” Raven. It seems I needed Priscilla the Healing Horse Woman Person and get her to Raven quickly, talk to him, then get him to talk to Lucius. And so, I gained them both. The rest of the chapter was really simple as I knew exactly what was going to happen (including the “surprise attack” from …

Sonic Advance 3

Finally managed to complete Chaos Angel Zone, which wasn’t actually as hard as it has first appeared. The boss at the end was a bit of a pain, though, and I lost tens of lives to him before getting past. And now it’s onto Altar Emerald. The strange Metal Sonic/Ristar hybrid thingie that keeps cropping up as a “mid boss”, as well as part of the main bosses, was here, and then a giant Eggman-controlled Eggman robot was after that. …

Lost in Blue

Hurrah! Crate puzzles solved! There were nine of them overall. However, after I’d done them all, I realised Skye was almost dead. The stupid cow had forgotten to drink, meaning her water-o-meter was at 0%. This in turn caused her not to eat (you can’t eat when thirsty) so her food-o-meter dropped to 0% too. Then, she couldn’t sleep as a result of the above, so her stamina was dropping quickly. And because of that, her HP were on the …

Hello Kitty Roller Rescue: RESCUED!

Hurrah for cuteness! I infiltrated the space base of the evil block king bloke, and was turned into a block myself a few times by lasers and stuff. Made my way to another really simple boss, who effectively killed himself. After that, it was onto the final level, where the villagers were generating power to fire a photon cannon at a giant robot, and I had to slow him down by throwing bombs at him and then launching pineapples at …

Timesplitters: Future Perfect: PERFECTED!

Yes indeed! Worked my way through the final four or five chapters, with a robot in tow for much of the way. Which was handy, since he killed more baddies than I did because I’m cowardly. Highlights included driving a tank with your future self as gunner (then swapping over), taking remote control of a giant Mech, destroying a giant Mech, taking out Jakob Crow in his bizarre part-man, part-machine, part-Timesplitter guise, and doing some other things which are spoilers. …

Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past

Before going back into Dungeon 6, I had a wander round outside, and found some more pieces of heart. Then it was back inside… It was a shame that I’d only had one heart left at the end of Misery Mire last go, since the end boss was actually very easy. He threw eyeballs at me, which I had to kill, and then a giant eyeball bounced around the screen. It took loads of hits, but wasn’t difficult. Then it …

Sonic Heroes

Had a slightly less irritating time on this today. The levels I worked through had fewer die-for-no-reason moments. That’s not to say it was all good – far from it. Hang Castle had a few areas where you are given no clue as to where to go, and Mystic Mansion had stupid mine cart sections and some rubbish Sonic/Tails/Knuckles specific bit near the end. With them out of the way, and joypad surprisingly intact, it was on to Robot Storm. …

Yoshi Touch & Go

Been playing this for most of the day, and have finally managed to get to the top of the scoreboards on both Score Attack and Marathon modes. That means Challenge and Time Attack modes are open for me. And are clearly impossible. I realised today what the point of the dropping-to-the-ground first section is – you build up points, and then the more points you get for that section, the better the Yoshi you land on. Different coloured Yoshis have …

GTA: San Andreas: GSF 4 LIFE, HOMIE

After taking over the hoods (again), and helping Cesar take back his hood too, it was time to cap Big Smoke. I stole a SWAT tank to bash down the wall to his “Crack Palace” and worked my way through it to find the guy at the top. A short shootout (in the dark), and Smoke was dead. Word, yo. Then Tenpenny arrived, nicked all the money, and ran off after torching the place. I had to get out of …

GTA: San Andreas

MOST ANNOYING BIT EVAAR. It seems there’s a flying school mission at the airstrip I’ve just bought, so I went and finished that. It took AGES as it’s too hard. The plane controls are too twitchy, and when flying the helicopter the camera swings round to suit itself but not you, meaning you can’t see where you’re going, or what you’re shooting at. Stupid. Anyway, that done, it was off to Las Venturas properly, to do some more missions for …
