Eternal Sonata (360)

Um, yes. So other games don’t exist at the moment, it would seem. And plenty of time has been spent on this again today too – taking me from 13 hours to over 16 hours game time, according to the save files. Killed the pirate captain first of all today, which gained Salsa a new hat (um, great), and then we reached Baroque, where it was snowing. Lots. We decided to leave, after a concert and lots of shopping and …

Eternal Sonata (360)

It’s far too easy to spend lots of time on this without realising. I started early this afternoon, and then suddenly it was dark outside. Chapter 2 was soon over. I had to fight Tuba again on the bridge by the fort, and although I won, he took out the bridge and we all fell to our watery deaths. Well, not quite. The beginning of Chapter 3 showed that my party had been split into two groups. Allegretto, Viola, Jazz, …

Eternal Sonata (360)

I’ve not been feeling too well today (no, not drinking excess from last night – I had this before them, just not so bad), so didn’t fancy anything fast-paced to play or camera-swingingly nauseating (I recall some badness when playing Crackdown whilst unwell once), so I didn’t pick up Mario Galaxy or Psychonauts, instead opting for this, which I got for Christmas. The first thing that hits you about the game is how gorgeous it looks. I don’t think I’ve …

Resident Evil 4 (Wii): COMPLETED!

Seems the truck bit wasn’t so difficult in the end, although I had virtually no ammo by the end of the first part of the run, so the second bit was done almost entirely with my knife. Soon, Ashley got kidnapped for the 26536th time, and I had to fight with “It” in some caves. With almost no ammo. Then there was another “boss” fight: Krauser – who I’m guessing made an appearance in another Resident Evil game that I …

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (PS2): COMPLETED!

By selecting the best weapon prior to mounting the on-foot attack of the Martinez Building after the chopper assault, I found it much easier this time around. The Spaz shotgun is most excellent when many baddies are in close range as it takes them all out at once. After that, I had to shoot down another helicopter, and finally there was a three-way showdown on the roof – the remaining Mendez brother, Martinez, and me. And it was easy, they …

Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (PS2)

Eventually, I managed to take down the antennae. It wasn’t all that difficult once I’d figured out where the stairs to the roof of each police station were, so I could park my car as close as possible. However, I then spent the best part of an hour finishing that mission, as I had a 5 Star rating upon escaping from the last station, and to complete the mission I had to drop that down to zero. Whilst being chased …

Military Madness (Wii)

In your face, Tim Miller! So you’re stuck on Level 4, eh? YOU ARE RUBBISH. It was EASY. I did WIN IT. I took over both un-owned factories to start with, and took out a Kilroy and a tank from the right of the map. The enemy sent in some more foot soldiers to try and regain the factories, but I stood firm and they didn’t come close. Until the helichopper thing came and started wiping out all my units. …

Saints Row (360)

Went back and did the Zenith thing, and then managed to get the other car needed too, completing all the Chop Shop stuff. I then went and shot down some more helicopters, took enough hostages to get me the 50 Hostages achievement (which got me 10 gamerpoints), and borrowed a load of money from the lone shark (to get another 10 points).

Saints Row (360)

With the game complete, I set about doing some of the activities, and trying some of the achievements. First up, destroying helicopters. Picked up three homies, and sat outside a Forgive and Forget shooting stuff. The police soon turned up, and I killed them, and eventually police helicopters arrived. After shooting several down, things got a bit hectic so I nipped in for a quick confessional, and the heat was off again. 13 helicopters down, 37 to go! This will …

Saints Row (360)

Didn’t play any more actual proper missions, as I needed to build up my respect bar before they were unlocked, so set about exploring instead. Found three CDs (I now have 10, so it unlocked a music track), and some tag points. Also found one of the cars I needed for a Chop Shop mission, and I spent a while doing hostage runs too. I got another achievement today as well – 20 hours played. What was interesting is I …

Saints Row (360)

Teh Vice Kings haev teh ded! Huzzah! I completed the last VK mission, and they’re all gone from the map. WINNAR. After that, I spent a while collecting some more cars, then bought loads of bling (which got me an achievement, and also gives me 15% bonus on respect on each mission I complete), then went and did some hijack missions. After that, I did a few more Insurance Fraud missions (and got myself a bonus of less damage taken …

Animal Crossing: Wild World (DS)

Turnips were low priced again today, so didn’t sell them. Found a letter from Parm with a bed in it, and he asked me to sleep in his bed. Nice. Spent quite a while picking and selling fruit that had grown since yesterday, and also chopped some trees down and planted more to make an orchard. Should have a forest of pear trees and another of peach trees in a few days! Nook had a Blue Bookcase in today, so …

Animal Crossing: Wild World

And so the life draining exercise of doing absolutely nothing of worth begins again. I spent three months, playing almost daily, on the Gamecube version of Animal Crossing, and this is just the same. Only with more to do, and online play. Firstly, I had the task of moving in, meeting Nook (and selling my soul to him, or something), then he employed me for a short while to meet everyone, deliver things, plant stuff, and that sort of thing. …

Pokémon Sapphire

Went to see Mr Briney, who owned a boat, and he took me across the sea to some place called Dewford Town. There’s a gym there with fighting-type Pokeymen, and I didn’t really have any Pokeymen to use, so wandered round levelling up my Shroomish and Zigzagoon, and also caught a Magicarp. Once Shroomish was up to about Level 14, I set upon the Gym Trainers, defeating them all, but the Gym Leader “Brawly” has a load of Level 17 …

Sonic N

YES. I BOUGHT AN N-GAGE AND GOT SONIC N WITH IT. Stop mocking me. It’s just Sonic Advance. With either a squashed screen, or a chopped off screen – depending on your preference. And it’s jerky. And the sound is awful. And it’s not as good as Sonic Advance.
