Kirby’s Block Ball (3DS): COMPLETED!

I did start this a few months ago, and got to the end of World 4 (of 10). I don’t recall why I stopped playing as it isn’t a bad game. Probably something else caught my eye. Since I’m in the mood for mopping up started-but-unfinished games at the moment, I continued with it and after a couple of hours had smashed my way through to the end of the game. It was pretty good fun, but frustrating in that, …

Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (360): COMPLETED!

Of course, “completed” with Lego games means “I’ve done the story levels”. It does not mean I’ve gone through all the levels again in Free Play, nor does it mean I’ve found all the minikits, red and gold bricks, and done any secret/hidden/special levels or other stuff. Sure, I’ve done some of those things, but with a completion of just 51% and only 35/130 gold bricks still remaining I’m a way off yet… Knowing nothing about the TV series this is …

Skyrim (360): COMPLETED!

After 70-ish hours play, it was time to end the main quest. Not because I’ve had enough or run out of things to do, but just because I wanted to move on to other games for a bit and thought it best to finish off the story rather than leave it hanging. This involved some diplomacy, capturing a dragon, then being whisked off to Sovngarde (via an area full of billions of high-level draugr, and I’d stupidly forgotten to bring …

Ben There, Dan That! (PC): COMPLETED!

Well this is a very rare occurrence. So rare, in fact, I’m not entirely sure I’ve ever had one before. One what, you ask? This – a completed PC game. It’s unusual I even play one, let alone complete one. In fact, it’s not exactly commonplace that I buy them. However, I seem to snap up most of these Indie Bundle things, and Ben There, Dan That! was one of them I got recently-ish. It’s a funny, well written, quirky, self-aware, …

Kid Icarus: Uprising (3DS): COMPLETED!

In my quest to mop up some of the outstanding part-complete games I’ve started over the last couple of months, I went back to KI:U the other day. I hadn’t given up on it, or tired of it, it’s just other games happened. You know how it is. I wasn’t as close to the end as I’d anticipated. I thought, although I’m not sure what made me think this, that Chapter 17 was the final chapter. It isn’t: Chapter 25 …

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD (360): COMPLETED!

With one character, at least: all cash and goals on all levels GET! That’s not the end though – oh no. There’s never really an end to proper Tony Hawk’s games anyway, but as well as having other skaters to play as, completing the game also unlocks a new game mode: PROjectives. This is a new set of very hard objectives for each level. I’ve done all of them for The Warehouse already though 🙂 Besides doing that, I boosted …

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater HD (360)

Let me say this: BEST. GAME. EVAAR. It’s a remix of THPS1 and THPS2, with new graphics. Which is instantly awesome. It even retains some of the music from the originals. And it only cost £8-ish. And you know I like Tony Hawk games. Oh yes. It came out last Wednesday, and I’ve played it a LOT since. It’s pretty much perfect. Some people are saying it has framerate issues (it doesn’t), it’s not big enough (it’s plenty big enough …

Skyrim (360)

I think I may have finished the Dark Brotherhood questline. In that a big event happened where the poo hits the spinning blades, and then I finished up the main contract. I got an achievement, and then was given what seems to be a generic contract, so I suspect that’s it for story. It was great though. After dealing with all that, I went and got married. Since I’d proposed* to $hlmun people, I didn’t know which I’d marry, but …

Castlevania: The Adventure (3DS): COMPLETED!

It’s about time I actually completed something! Skyrim has sucked most of my time, and although I’ve been playing other games, none of them are that near the end. This game was pretty short though, if a bit difficult. I wrote this about it last time I completed it (back on an actual Game Boy!): Oh my! Only four levels? Just as well as if there were any more, things may have been broken on purpose. Level 3 is the …

Games I’ve been playing recently

Mutant Mudds (3DS) It’s really hard now. I’ve done all 16 main levels, some of the secret levels, and collected all of the diamonds so far. I’ve done the first three Moon levels, but the last one? Nightmare. It’s so difficult! It doesn’t help that you can only have one power up at a time, and you really need all three to make it through. I’ve swapped around which ones I’ve been using, but it’s too hard with any of …

Skyrim (360)

I’m mainly doing stuff for the Dark Brotherhood at the moment. I was going to finish the Thieves Guild questline, but then realised that an item I had from that – a skeleton key – was far too awesome. It’s an unbreakable lockpick! I ain’t giving that back (which is what the final task for that particular questline seems to imply I need to do) just yet! As well as murdering seemingly random people for apparently no (or rubbish) reason, …

Rhythm Thief and the Emperor’s Treasure (3DS)

This is AWESOME. It’s like Professor Layton only with the puzzles mainly replaced with rhythm action games! Like, I don’t know, Ouendan Adventure or something. They’re fun rhythm action games too, with some catchy music. And a lovely graphical style. I’ve managed to find the crown, break into the police station, and get out again, so far. I’ve had a couple of run-ins with Napoleon (which is bound to turn out not to be him, surely?), and rescued a girl …

Skyrim (360)

Recently on Skyrim! Another dragon slain! Lexicon returned! Dravin’s Bow given back to Dravin! Dude Where’s My Car questline completed! The Mind of Pelagius III entered and finished! And more! Amazed I’ve actually finished off more quests than I started. Just about. The Pelagius III quest in particular was standout – bringing back the dodgy Sheogorath bloke from The Shivering Isles expansion from Oblivion. He was awesome. I’m level 22 now too, if you’re keeping tabs.

Mutant Mudds (3DS)

I’ve been looking forward to this for a while now, and leapt on it the very second it was available to download. I wasn’t disappointed – it’s excellent! Of course, if you don’t like difficult, old fashioned platform games, you won’t like it. But I do. Oh is it hard though! I’ve cleared the 16 available levels, but since I haven’t collected every diamond I’m not able to progress any further yet. 16 levels may not seem like a lot, …

Theatrhythm Final Fantasy (Demo) (3DS)

Final Fantasy games don’t interest me much any more. They lost their way back at Final Fantasy VII, and most spinoffs like the Crystal Chronicles games have left me indifferent. Aside from Final Fantasy Tactics Advance, of course. And that Chocobo game for the DS. Er, anyway. As a result, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this Guitar Hero-ish screen tapping rhythm game featuring music from Final Fantasy games, none of which I’m likely to recognise. Thankfully, it was …
