Play Want Bin Expense: 2017-04-17

It’s been a while, partly due to holidays and partly due to my damn fingers still hurting. Which means I’ve three weeks of stuff to post about. Which mainly means one game. Play The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Switch) Over 100 hours on Breath of the Wild now. I think, possibly, I may have done all I want to. I found all the memories, all the shrines, completed (and fully upgraded) some armour sets, and fought Ganon …

Play Want Bin Expense: 2016-06-13

It’s back to Assassin’s Creed this week, as well as a catch-up with some recent PS+ releases. Play Assassin’s Creed Unity (PS4) There’s nothing technically wrong with this, and I am enjoying it, it just isn’t drawing me back for some reason. I don’t think the billions of icons on the map are helping as it all seems a bit overwhelming. To counter this, I’m just sticking to the story for now, and I’ve reached Sequence 11, so not far …

Pix the Cat (PS4): COMPLETED!

Well, completed one of the modes anyway. The main mode, Arcade, seems to be just a score attack and as a result, can’t be completed. However, there’s a pretty large (70 level!) mode called Nostalgia, which certainly is completable. I know this, because I did it. Unlike Arcade mode, Nostalgia Mode in Pix the Cat is more a set of puzzle and reaction based challenges. In each level, presented in awesome black and white old-timey animation visuals, you have to …

Titan Souls (Vita): COMPLETED!

What a difficult game. Rewarding, complete with air punches, each time a Titan is finally felled, but oh so very difficult. Almost every Titan I came across seemed impossible to defeat. At first it was because I couldn’t see how you were supposed to take them down, and then it was simply because I couldn’t. Perseverance paid off, and eventually each and every one was beaten. Eventually being the operative word there – so, so many attempts. Most impossible of …

Assassin’s Creed: Liberation HD (PS3)

On the PS3, you say? Am I mad, you ask? Yes, and possibly yes. In my defence, I had a load of PSN credit and it was on sale. And I’d been playing and enjoying Assassin’s Creed IV. So it made a bit of sense. Currently, I’m about half way through the game (just returned from Mexico, for those in the know), and I’ve noticed that the game seems about half finished. No, those are two different things. What I …

Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare (360)

I bought this DLC pack over Christmas when it was on offer. Some time before actually buying the main game, in fact – so interested in playing it I was. And now I’ve played it for a couple of hours or so. Sadly, I’m not really enjoying it all that much. I don’t know why – the story is funny and it’s still RDR – but it’s just not all there. Maybe it’s the headshot-to-kill issue (if you don’t shoot …

Patapon (PSP)

With the power of my new stew, and deciding to run away then fight rather than just storm forwards, I completed the mission I was stuck on (where you have to beat Gong to a caged Patapon, then defeat Gong himself). After that, I opened up a new hunting ground, where I found a black star (although it didn’t appear to do anything), and then repeated the level so it gave me a new cap – reviving a blacksmith Patapon! …

This Week’s Roundup (360/Wii)

Another busy week (it was my birthday!) so I’ve got a bit of catching up to do. Wii Fit (Wii)Haven’t played this much since Tuesday, but did fit in a couple of sessions in the week. Mainly just played step and ski jump, though. Link’s Crossbow Training (Wii)Excellent! I got this for my birthday, which was pretty amazing in itself since it’s impossible to buy pretty much everywhere. It’s pretty simplistic (it is basically “just” a lightgun game) but is …

The Problems with Grand Theft Auto IV

GTA IV arrived yesterday, and I was actually quite excited about playing it. Before it came out, I wasn’t all that fussed, actually, and was prepared to wait until it hit less than ¬¨¬£25 (because I won’t pay more than ¬¨¬£25 for a game), regardless how long that was. As it turned out, it was just one day. Since ordering it, my excitement did build a bit, and I was really looking forward to it. Sadly, I feel a bit …
